Why Naruto didn't summon Gamabunta to stop sasuke's departure in part 1?

With Gamabunta he could have defeated sasuke then, so Sasuke wouldn't have been able to join orochimaru. I don't see how Sasuke could have dealt with a giant fighting Toad.

Well a summon is considered a Justu technique and Naruto could have used that to his advantage. Maybe if Naruto was able to stop sasuke then, he wouldn't be tempted to become evil just to get stronger, because Naruto would have proven that you can get stronger by following the right path.

Well a summon is considered a Justu technique and Naruto could have used that to his advantage. Maybe if Naruto was able to stop sasuke then, he wouldn't be tempted to become evil just to get stronger, because Naruto would have proven that you can get stronger by following the right path.

It would've just ruined the fight. The reason why he didn't summon him is obviously because of plot. If Sasuke was able to summon his snake back then, then maybe that would've happened

Couldn't the story have still progressed with Naruto and Sasuke helping each other out hunting down akatsuki and orochimaru together? I think they make up a great team both in combat and supporting each other out. I'm tired of Kishimotos best friend becoming rivals then mortal enemies, plot. xd

true it was plot no jutsu, but the thing is Sasuke had to go to Oro or naruto would be still weak because of no reason to train

well.....think about what would have happened if gamabunta was summoned. Bunta would have just owned sasuke within 5 seconds and sasuke would have returned to the village. The story wouldn't have gone so far.

hmm i thoguth naruto had to in part 1 use the kyuubis chakra to summon the Boss toad cause when he tried to use it during the sannin fight it didnt work hmmmm

also plot made naruto stronger at the time whatever happnend to sasuke super speed when fighting gaara it just vanished

This is true as well. I wouldn't say that plot made him stronger because in the beginning, Sasuke was beating naruto until naruto called upon the kyuubis chakra.
