Here's a few of my thoughts on Narutos and Sasukes relationship (No homo
):
A parallel between the So6Ps sons and Naruto and Sasuke has been implied quite strongly, no?
Now, noone ever said one of the sons was evil, it's simply that they had different takes on life.
Theory: Following in their footsteps, Naruto is the "Body"- meaning his strength comes from
believing in his comrades and wanting to protect them, even at the cost of his own life. The whole
reasoning behind his ideology is "I believe what my master believed in." That's what we call Idealism.
Sasuke however is the "Eyes"- and as such his way to enlightenment is not through faith, but through
questioning his perception of reality and finding the truth on his own. His entire life has been a
journey leading him towards that truth. Orochimaru, Danzo, Obito, Team Eagle, Deidara, Itachi, as opposed
to Naruto, who always seems to get people to agree with him in the end, he was confronted with different
views on the world, with people who would not give him that reassurement, which makes Naruto so
confident in what he believes, and that what he does is right. Sasuke's not sure who he is, meaning he may
not need Naruto to save him. He might be able to do it all by himself.
Narutos understanding of the world is just far too different from Sasukes to ever get through to him, I believe
their past encounters have shown that. Even when Naruto gave his grand speech (ya know, the time Sakura
tried to kill Sasuke? God, just thinking about that still makes me wanna hit myself. What a horrible idea it was.),
Sasuke couldn't understand his reasons for still caring about him.
