Naruto being able to let his guard down completely with Hinata is what I'm talking about. He tells her the truth. With Iruka, Naruto has developed a close bond with him. naruto trusts iruka and he used to trust mizuki but Mizuki was... well we all know about mizuki... My point is that Naruto felt he could trust Hinata without even knowing her all too well. He could just be himself around her without criticism, without having to hide what he truly feels.
Naruto made the blood oath for Hinata. For her honor. For her justice. He also did it because he did hold a grudge against Neji for doing what he did to Hinata as well as others. But that doesn't make it any less for Hinata.
Take naruto's promise to Sakura for example. Naruto made that promise not only because Sakura wanted Sasuke back but majorly because Naruto himself wanted to save Sasuke, his precious friend. Naruto is keeping that promise for the both of their sakes.
Naruto asked "Where is Hinata? Is she watching?" When he used "where" he was wondering where she was, looking to see if he could spot her. He wanted her to see what he did for her.
Actually, I know this may seem funny, but it could be a possibility that Naruto knew Hinata didn't die.

Naruto says "Did I destroy Hinata and the rest of the villagers?" He's wondering if he KILLED them all. But the slug says no was harmed. Everyone was safe. So maybe naruto knew Hinata was alive after all as you can't really destroy the dead....
"Did I destroy HINATA and the rest of the villagers?" Those are Naruto's words. Yes he cared for all the villagers, but Hinata was the one ringing the bell the most in his mind.
Yes he's feeling dread but also heartache.

I believe that when you are able to read one another's eyes, it means you have a deep bond/connection. Naruto was able to form that with Hinata without even trying. You don't have to spend a huongous amount of time with someone to develop a bond. Look at Shikamaru and Temari in Naruuto Part 1. They didn't know weach other very well yet they still developed a bond.
The "eyes" scene wasn't just "shoved in there". It's Kishimoto. He wouldn't just shove something irrelevant in there.
The bond growing between the two. Of course they're bond was growing! They're friendship was growing even stronger! And if they are ever going to bring Sasuke back, they need that bond.
The thing is that on Naruto's feelings, we have no idea what they are. Naruto clearly rejected Sakura in her confession, tellung her to stop lying to herself. And Naruto hasn't responded to Hinata's confession, meaning he hasn't found the right answer yet. Since he hasn't rejected Hinata or told her to stop loving him and let him go, then that means that Naruto is CONSIDERING his feelings for her and what could (maybe) happen.
Um no. And of course there have been no panels on Naruto's feelings. Kishi wants to leave things hidden until the very end. We haven't been reminded of Naruto's feelings in over a 100 chapters unlike Sakura and Hinata whom we have constantly been reminded who they love. Naruto hasn't been as constant with his feelings. Thiings could have changed in the last 100 chapters as a lot of things have happened since then like Sakura' confession, the meeting with his mother, war...
