Hashirama abilities
Bringer of darkness is a great jutsu and his best chance of defeating nagato or his paths since jirayai didnt teach him any.
Madara says hashirama could heal injuries without forming hand signs.
Wood release is what he was famous for and it serves many purposes such as clones, forests, or even giant flowers that could put people to sleep. I suspect he could probably use his wood release also in a manner like gaara use his sand but thats just my speculation.
The ability that really made his special was his ability to control tail beast which is why i believe madara lost to him at the valley of the end.

Nagato abilities
He could use all 5 basic nature transformation.
He could use all the ability of the paths of pain. Ill list them for those who dont know ( push and pull anything with his mind pretty much, mechanised armor and various robotic weaponry, the ability to remove the soul of any target they touched as well as read their mind, he has the ability to summon several different creatures n see thru them also, the ability to absorb an infinite amount of chakra in any form, interrogation and restoration, by using the King of Hell).
Also deva path showed some other abilities such as the rain he created in his village, the clones he made of itachi and kisame.

Now from what we know about their abilities to main things that made hashirama the great ninja he was dont seem like they would work on nagato. His wood release can be absorb, his flowers can be repel or he could simply float out of range. Now to me it seems like the rinnagun is the best ability shown yet since nagato could just pull whoever he wants to him and take out their soul. But what do the base thinks.
