Why make excuses for Danzo?

- allowed most of konoha to be massacred and soul-raped for his own selfish gain and letting tsunade die.
- kidnapped and brainwashed innocent children for his personal army and then made them kill each other
- ordered the massacre of children and housewives just for knowing about a rebellion plot.
- tried to kill his own men in cruel mutual kill plots when he thinks they "know too much"
- plotted with hanzo to overthrow the third
- didnt expect to lead by example and do the things he demands his men to do, out of cowardice.
- expects to make the shinobi world united, with of course, himself in charge
- believes the ideal shinobi is an emotionless robot.

yet people forgive everything because "awww he loved konoha, honest! he just wants to protect it".
wow its amazing how bullshit rhetoric and preaching can justify anything.

The only reason he used all of his sharingan agaisnt Sasuke is because he managed to hit him that many times. Danzo would have died a lot sooner if he didnt.

See somewhat i think he is just like itachi but a bit more cruel (I'm not equating them just comparing), i mean all things he did for the good of konoha which means sacrificing his comrades too, he didn't thought about any1 besides it which makes him more bad-ass whereas itachi also slayed his own clan but kept his soft side for his little brother, so i think saying danzo is villain is not upto some point acceptable, well its just my thoughts

i agree, this guy can not be redeemed as he is a man stuck in the darker times of shinobi life. im glad he died before making hokage. as a guy like that as hokage would lead to the leafs destruction, seeing how his so called love for the village is all bullcrap as he let pain do as he pleases, all because he wanted the hokage title. that just sounds like a petty child than a potential hokage.

he didt have ten izanagis. he had one izanagi.
besides izanagi isnt some hax ass ultimate jutsu. its a glorified clone spam that runs out after several minutes. how people think danzo should be invincible with it is beyond me. any high stamina shinobi can outlast it.

false. its all for his own beneift and own gain. just because you say your doing it for your home doesnt make it true or your actions sensible. he thinks konoha is only konoha if hes in control of it and manipulating it to worship him.
same with itachi. when konoha doesnt live up to his standards, he attacks and tries to kill its men and when sasuke doesnt live u his standards, he tries to brainwash and enslave him. itachi only values what he wants people to be in his own perceptiion, rather than who they really are. he did nothing about danzo til it was far too late and hundreds were dead

no he goes about it in a way THAT ACTIVELY DESTROYS IT. lets see, killing men for being too good at their jobs, letting half the village die so he can overthrow it, brainwashing kids in a village that is supposed to run on willpower and love for your comrades, murdering children for percieved crimes, exiling itachi who was one of the best shinobis they had etc

the difference between danzo and itachi is that danzo was selfish as he would sacrifice the villagers so he could become hokage, were as itachi sacrificed his clan to save the village from a potential war as his clan chose to commit a coup.

Danzo like most of the villains in the series wanna achieve something good (protecting the leaf) using questionable methods and with all his flaws i still think he was a hero and so does the writer (he gave him a heroic death/tribute in the anime).

I actually like him for the reasons you've posted, because I like him as a villain. He tried to become the "perfect ninja" he wanted, but never could, he thought everyone was expandable and no-one had a real frie-- I mean, he was pretty unique in how flawed he was.

Of course I wouldn't like him as a person, but as a character I think he is interesting. Also, robot ninjas are cool.

Shinobi are killers, Liars, thieves so i fail to see why you're bashing danzo for being a murderer.

Shinobi aren't allowed to allow Intel to fall into enemy hands and are required (in most cases) to do anything even kill there own team mates to make sure it doesn't, Take kisame for example.


I don't know why people think shinobi go around shitting sunshine and rainbows and everything's all goody goody. As a person yes danzo wasn't a good man.

But as a shinobi he wasn't so bad, Most of his actions are common practice in the shinobi world

seriously though.. He was a dark natured Ninja with good intentions. We've seen it multiple times throughout tv, games, movies etc.

He did what he did to protect what he thought was the most important thing. - The village.

Sorry but, If I was in his shoes.. I'd do the same to protect it instead of watching it burn. In his eyes.. he saw the village would be better of protected under his rule.. The same line of thought everyone had during "his" time.
