Both characters have factors in the downfall of their time as Jinchuriki.

Obito's downfall was that his battle prowess gets swayed by emotions. His main goal was not necessarily to invoke Infinite Tsukuyomi, but to hear Naruto's answer. With that reason alone, he failed to defeat the Shinobi Alliance and lost to Sasuke's sword of solo kings. I never actually considered Obito a serious threat to the protagonist because his loss was clearly inevitable. Sure, his power was over whelming, but I never felt any danger from Obito. However, a good trait of Obito was that he was more serious/focused when it comes to combat as opposed to Madara who has been screwing around like he's always been since he was revived via Edo Tensei. It can be a good trait in some ways because I honestly find it funny and enjoyable to see his lust for strong opponents, but Madara has been screwing around too much where the story progression is slowing down.

When it comes to feats as a Jinchuriki, Obito has more raw destructive capacity. Juubito went all out, but all of his techniques were successfully countered. He was too focused on raw power as opposed to thinking straight. Think about it, Juubito never needed to waste all his time on the Rose bomb, the 6 sun Barrier, the sword of Nunoboko, etc. Juubito (if he wanted to) could have Onmyoudon blitzed everyone if he wanted to. He was too focused making showing absolute despair and made it look like it was hopeless for the Alliance. But that reason is where his downfall started. He wasn't thinking straight enough to realize that the barrier only made it easier for the alliance to survive. If I were Obito, I would have simply made another flower and shot more Bijuubombs instead of showing off his abilities. That would have guaranteed the death of the alliance. Ever since Obito became the Jinchuriki, he forgot about standard battle tactics. That is Juubito's con.

But like I said, Madara has been screwing around for too long. However he literally defeated Minato, Tobirama, Naruto and Sasuke (the people who took most part in defeating Juubito) with using his bare hands. He's not so focused on showing off his power like Obito did, nor does he want to show absolute despair to everyone. He has one thing on his mind and that is the fruit. He's now just killing time until the fruit blooms so he can eat it. But with the way the story is going as of recent, "killing time" may be Madara's defeat.

Obito >> Madara , anyday.....madara is your usual plain old boring villain...i've tried a lot but he just doesn't seem interesting enough.

Obito on the other hand is a much complex character who lies completely in grey area. u cant guess what he's thinking.

OT: Obito as a jinchuuriki was more appealing to us cuz he was the 1st one and all the hype and shyt...was great.
with madara it was just a repeat...so wasn't interesting enough so u don't get the same feeling.
Obito showed so many new powers as the jin while madara is just playing soccer with the black spheres. i still didn't see what that limbo technique was all about...so meh.

Didn't read. Obito lost to people Madara took out before even becoming the Juubis host. It's obvious who is surperior.

He dint lose he got talk no jutsud that led to the bijuu extraction big difference. Obito was beating hashi and Madara at the same time along with making the entire army loose hope it took them all at one just to pull out the jubi while the first thing Madara did as jubbi host is get OWNED BY GUY!

Juubito was ten times better than Madara, no matter which way you look at it.

by feats, yes.
by hype no.

Reason: Obito faced weaker opponents while Madara is facing much stronger opponents.

Obits faced all the homage and the entire army. He made hashirama look like a fodder. Guy made Madara look like a fodder.

I know Madara is stronger in power-wise , I'm saying that Obito has better control , while Madara has not .

Awesome Thread Bro.!

This, once again, shows how great & how GOOD Obito is. In Powers & not to mention Character Wise {No contest here}.

He is way above Madara. So much variety in these Gudodamas!

Obito always knew what he want from the very beginning & never let his Aim out of his Eye{s}.
Not to mention his strong will, with that he made the Juubi his *****.

Yes yes ... All hail our Lord Obito! : ) Such an awesome Character.

even if technically madara is stronger than juubito, juubito was a better jin than him. he just did way more things, madara has been disappointing to say the least.

While Obito is my second favourite after Naruto, I think that your opinion is biased here. It's true that Obito did all these things but it's also true that occasionally he was losing control over himself because of Juubi while Madara hasn't lost his control not even for a sec. Also, you can't really judge Madara based on the current situation because this dude had to face Gai immediately after becoming a Jin and so he couldn't really fight that well since Gai was keeping him at bay. Also let's not forget that even when gai was at 8 gates, he still needed the help of the others and that can be seen by how Minato got on the way to protect him from the black balls and how Kakashi made an opening to madara's "cocoon".
Also, at the end of the day Gai would have died haven't it been for Naruto while Madara would become perfectly fine in a matter of seconds.
Madara after being severely hit, Naruto launched a powerful unexpected assault against him and that's obvious by how Madara himself was questioning the reasons for which he was kept at bay. Also, even later, he was fighting against Sasuke as well, who could troll him many times with his new abilities. No matter how strong someone might be, he needs time to decode a dangerous technique as the one Sasuke used, and Madara succeeded in doing so in a matter of moments.
Point is that because of Sasuke's unpredicted and extremely dangerous power-up, Madara could not fight against an extremely overpowered Naruto and Sasuke and so leaving the battle to regain his other eye is very wise since then he could fight with his full strength.
When Obito was jin, those 2 weren't that strong, not even close, do you think that if Sasuke had these kind of abilities, the result would be the same?
Also, you make it sound as if Madara has nothing more than his brute force while he's a great tactician. He kept a low profile while Obito was Jin in order to avoid fighting against him and seized the best timing for his revival. Also, he too uses psycological war since he used PS against Ohnoki just to break his spirit's will as well reversing the situation on many cases such as when he created 5 clones for each of the Kage and when he destroyed the HQ to kill the tacticians of the opposite force.
Lastly, I think you confuse his arrogance with his lack of knowledge of what he's doing. He knows exactly what he does and that's proven by the very fact that even at his current level not even once did he underestimate Gai and the moment Sasuke's and Naruto's newfound powers were alarming, he immediately changed his way of thinking by retreating till he gets the other rinnegan. That alone proves that his arrogance does not cloud his fighting insticts as he knows exactly when he must stop posing as a " god".
