Because Madara knows the seals and Itachi didn't at that time.

That actually makes Itachi more badass in my opinion. He didn't even know the seals and he still "broke" the Jutsu.

The thread maker seems to be forgetting that if it wasn't for Itachi putting Kabuto in genjutsu, Madara wouldn't have even gotten the opportunity to break out ET Lol so he's badass because of Itachi?

Hehe, my friend you are also forgetting that if it wasn't for Shisui giving his sharingan to Itachi, all of this would have never happened and the alliance would've been doomed forever. :yeah: I am now happy you mentioned this because it means Shisui is the real hero. Itachi is a boss. Bosses don't release themselved from ET. Instead they take whoever is controlling the jutsu and makes them bend over

On a serious note: Itachi is badass but Madara is just more badass. I really hate to admit this. Madara and Itachi are 2 of my fav characters. Itachi is definately badass though.

Funny. Madara was only able to release himself because Itachi ended edo tensei. Madara doesnt even get close to part 1 Itachi's baddassery

Hmmm...just asking, but where is it stated that Madara couldn't release himself until Itachi stopped the Edo tech? He says himself that he isn't the type to be bound by such a Jutsu, right? No disrespect, but he could have at any time I believe.

Itachi may have not used the exact same method of liberating himself from the Edo control as Madara, but he still did it. He still is one of the only 3 to free themselves. Imho that puts him on a completely different level than every Edo who could not. My opinion. As far as BA imo Madara is by far the most BA. Followed by Itachi, Sasuke, and Minato. My opinion.
