Respected by who? Ya know something i find incredibly funny when it comes itachi is the fact they try to use propaganda to make him out to be some type of a victim,and they'll say things like "Itachi sacrificed this,and itachi endured that" to make you sorry for him when in reality the boy is crazy and he's f ucked up in the head.

So no matter how you look it at the end of the day itachi was nothing more than a psychopath,( which i don't to much have a problem with that)but that on top of the fact that he was a snitch, and a sell out to his own family just makes you not respect him even more.

Itachi had some severe mental problems,because no matter the situation at least madara would have never done to izuna what itachi did to sasuke for the purpose of helping him. Madara wouldn't have had to do that. Madara challenges the hokage known as the "strongest of his era" and pushed him to his absolute limit while itachi kills people in their sleep. And btw madara getting impaled by zetsu says how strong he really was, NOT how weak madara is. Think of it this way if zetsu could have done that to JJ madara then he could have done that to ANYONE including your fav. Madara's pretty much a revolutionist, while itachi's basically a house negro.

Madara was who he WANTED to be. Itachi was who he HAD to be.
