Why Itachi -_-!?

Now I was a fan of Itachi, but after really considering what he did to Sasuke I've come to the conclusion that he was a selfish coward 0_o. The reason being is because after killing his clan, Itachi wanted to at least leave his little brother alive since he apparently really cared for him. But for what exactly??? Itachi from that moment on set Sasuke to be an avenger and had him living sad angry life, and told him to kill the closest person to him in order for him to seek his revenge. Now what kinda shyt is that to tell your lil bro?? Itachi could have handled that situation better and he failed to do so. He simply could have told his lil bro to live happier live that he wasnt able to and to grow strong another way or not appeared at all and left the village without saying anything. Also, he could have taken his lil brother along with him, not knowing what kinda life that would have resulted in, but at least they would have had each other and started their own lives. Sure Sasuke would have had some questions and concerns if this would have been done, but I think it would have been a better life than what he has experienced. Instead he left Sasuke with the intent to have revenge on his beloved brother and kill the closest person to him in the process, yea that's some shyt. (lol) Itachi is really the one to blame *for Sasukes fukked up life, and I know Saskue chose the path but damn it would have been hard not to. He became a rogue ninja to get some peace to kill his brother just to hear some other mess, wft where does it end for dude.(lol) Itachi didn't really think things out clearly IMO and didn't think what would have been best for his little brother.*

What do some of you guys think??? Should he have brought Sasuke along with him, not appear at all or come up with a different idea (more positive). Or do y'all think he really handled things the best he could have???

Very good points and i agree with you but i think what it all came down to was madra, if itachi was as smart as he was mad out to be he would be able to pick up on how strong madra really was and how much trouble he was going to become, so for him his set up to kill madra had to be so elabrate to take him down for the sake of the world he had to turn sasuke into what he became and thats why he left naruto that power to try to make amends and hopefully change sasuke course imo...

I definitely dont believe Sasuke wouldve gone with him, would you go with a brother who just murdered your entire family? I wouldnt.

He shouldve told him to live a life of love and friendship, otherwise he would end up like himself, angry and savage.

I agree that what happened to Sasuke is mainly Itachi's fault, although Madara did manipulate him pretty badly.

He could have but there also a couple of factors in this 1: would madra have let him done that, he could have killed sasuke the second itachi drags him along. 2: sasuke might not have gone willingly unless itcahi explains why he did what and even then it would have taken a mjor leap for sasuke playing along after he just saw his brother kill his parents. 3: sasuke was safer in the village, it would have taken a major act for madra to come get him with might have revealed who he was to early, and elders would not dare cross itachi in order not to invoke his wrath. 4: madra was probably watching him during his final moments or murder and suske interaction so he had to make it look legit.

Word. Also, if he did want Sasuke to go along with him he would have had to tell him another story. He wouldnt be able to really admit to the killings and lie which would have been better IMO.

Very true, normally I would've said that itachi should've knocked sasuke out and taken him but madara probably wouldn't let itachi do that so leaving sasuke was probably the safest thing to do, I probably would've left without saying anything though

I agree with everything except 1 & 3. I don't think Madara would have been a threat to Sasuke at all, if anything madara probably would have welcomed him. If Sasuke would have left he would have been fine outside the village just as he is now, except he would have been more stable and would have had his brother with him
