Kakashi statement doesn't indicate Boruto > Mitsuki in a fight. There's way more to a shinobi than being able to defeat people. If that were the case, Shikamaru wouldn't have gotten rank of chuunin and tasked with leading a mission despite losing to Temari.

Mitsuki is obviously the strongest member on team 7 next to konohamaru. No one is debating that.


So stop being salty over the words of a credible character. Boruto's entire character is a easy-going prodigy that moves at his own beat and doesn't apply himself.​
