If edo tensei were connected then he would have to summon all the edos at once. Or if one edo were sealed all the edoes would be sealed. They are separate summons.
I agree
Whatever Itachi did he broke the link between Kabuto and himself which is why Kabuto can't control him. If he can't even control his movements how can he unsummon hi?
Controlling, summoning and unsommoning an Edo and completely ending the technique are different things, I wonder what's so hard to understand about that. :|
Kabuto was supposed to be using the mind controlling talismans in order to control the movements of his Edo's. Itachi overwrote said talisman with Kotoamatsukami. That's why Kabuto can't specifically control Itachi at the moment.
It's not certain if summoning and unsummoning are abilities that the talisman grant, but it doesn't matter. Under no circumstances would Kabuto summon an edo Itachi that is coming to get him to his side anyway.
But I guess they are attributes of the talisman, otherwise he could have closed him in a coffin.
Anyways...
Edo control and ending the Edo Tensei completely are two entirely different things.
The talisman that Itachi overwrote was what Kabuto used to control the Edo's.
The Edo Tensei technique itself is binding the resurrected souls to the bodies.
When the technique ends, no matter if Kabuto could mind control the Edo or not, every Edo will turn to dust.
They're two seperate things.
