Why is the base so boring today?

What if Kishimoto left it vague on purpose. Sometimes an author will leave questions unanswered in order to prolong the conversation about his work. Maybe he is just sparking these kinds of debates to keep the interest level up.

Step-Father told me Junior year was going to be the hardest of HS, didn't believe him.

My teachers are just like: "Who cares about your social life? All that matter's is our irrelevant work that you'll forget this summer." *evil laugh*

You are telling me my life right now. Right now I have 13 classes to take this year. 7 on campus and 6 online. They are a combination of AP and Honours courses in various type of English, Math, Foreign Languages, and Sciences. On top of that, I have work. Man I am overloaded. I feel like I'm doing a year's worth of work in a week.

All we know about the Sage is his birth last name wasn't Uzumaki. He was born into a tribe, not a Ninja clan... for all we know he could've started it. It's just a theory, but it does indeed make some level of sense. And of course he's going to act that way when there are over 30 members openly bashing him for something he did for our enjoyment and just livening up the Base.

That's my point, for all we know is grasping at straws. It's nice that there are members willing to spend their time coming up with "theories" as you call them. It generates debate and conversation about the work which keeps us entertained until next week's manga comes out.

The pathetic part is that such debates are often ignored and brushed off in favor of countless gratuitous "Thank you for saying I am right" posts.

I feel you, more than you know.. more than you know.

Plus I have to spend a certain amount of hours tutoring Freshman in our culinary room for this scholarship that I'm trying to get... that's like 10 hours a week.

I think you should look at it from his perspective, I mean.. 90% of the people who aren't agreeing with him are calling him names and bashing his idea. So he's probably just avoiding that as a whole and focusing on the positive aspect of the situation. Which he wouldn't have to do in the first place if people weren't so simple minded.

Don't get me started on scholarships. I love university, but there is just so much you have to do to get into one. Not to mention all the applications you have to submit and how many schools you have to apply to just to get into one. It's a struggle. I can't wait until I am over and done with it, just so I can say I survived it.

I agree. If I put up a theory, and aside from a few complimentary posts, all I got was hate and bashing, I would feel discouraged to post any more theories. I don't think he was ignoring good retorts to his theory intentionally, but when everyone is flaming you, you don't want to take any risks. I would have focused on the positive too. People can disagree, but they shouldn't disrespect.
