why is the 2nd hokage underrated?

for me the man brought the dead back to live is just epic 2nd hokage impure world resurrection might be one of the greatest justsu ever made inventing is allays that hard part people can always improve a jutsu (kabuto.orochimaru)
he might of made the 1st ever space time jutsu and he is said to be the greatest water style in the leaf history plus his a senju and has tons of jutsu so why do people not even put him in thier top 10 or 20

i think its cause we have never really seen him in action. people only talk so big about hashirama because he beat madara, even though we have no idea how good he really was. The fight they had against the 3rd doesn't give them justice. For all we know, the second could have been stronger than his brother, he was truely a selfless hokage when he decided to die for the third, danzo and their group.

2nd Hokage isn't underrated Its just that most threads that say "top 10 shinobi"
specify in the ones who are alive the 2nd Hokage is a great shinobi and if anyone thinks otherwise he's wrong.

I think the main reason why he is so underrated is because we never really hear much about him. With the 1st Hokage we hear about all the stuff he did all the time. Only a few times have we heard about 2 Hokage. I think people would appreciate his skill more if we saw a bit more of him and what he can do.

Because we've never seen him. Almost all of those things that you think we should praise him for are speculation. Yes me made Edo, which means he made live sacrifices..., and yes he was amazing at water style..ok, and he's a senju but we dont know what kind of jutsu he has. We'd need to see to actually grasp his strength.

Yeah, every time there's a greatest Hokage thread, the top three spots go to Hashirama, Minato, and Hiruzen.

Might I add we know even less about Hiruzen then of Tobirama yet he's automatically the greatests or in the top three *sigh*

He comes in 4th place for me in terms of hokage ranking behind the 1st, 3rd, and 4th.

I do believe he is greatly underrated. The only reason for this is because he doesnt have impressive feats like the other hokages, excluding tsunade.

Hashirama defeated and wrestled the fox from uchiha madara. He was also hailed as one of the strongest in his generation. Also had the ability to control the beasts like pets and it was him that distributed the beasts evenly amongst villages

Sarutobi was hailed as the strongest hokage, but also he has survived 3 wars. Two of which he was hokage.

Minato got a flee on site order due to his ftg. But also although defeated an imposter who didnt come to fight him, he still showed great feats.

Tobirama's feats shown or heard of, he has lost. He was killed in the 1st ninja war to 20 ninja's. I dont know if they were elite, but going by the fact that it was war, they were probably fodders. On the same level that minato slaughtered like pigs during the war. The next feat he gets was against the gin/kin bros and again he was left on the brink of death. His feats just arent impressive if compared with the others.

I do agree that going by his abilities he should actually be the strongest hokage. His suiton was so advanced that not only could he weave the seals with one hand, he was able to gather the moisture in the air to use for his techniques. He aslo created the edo tensei, but was also an s/t user
