Why is Sasuke so hated?

Mainly because people are stupid. It usually the same kids who can't stand to see Sasuke being placed above Naruto so they become biased against him & constantly deny/counter, or ignore everything positive said about him, especially if it's against Naruto.
Look at this thread as example, "When did Sasuke stop being Naruto's Rival?"
Indra already posted the page of Adult Naruto saying Sasuke is his rival, yet they still commented saying otherwise.
Since they love Naruto so much, you'd think they would accept his own words, but instead they take their love to extreme levels - they love him so much that they'll deny anything supporting Sasuke positively compared to him.
I like Naruto too, but damn. & these guys are here practically 24/7. I left here about a month & a half ago, & they were all on, i came back today, & they're the first ones i see.

Frankly speaking, Sasuke is far much better character than Naruto in all aspects. His development is splendid and he is what makes Naruto manga unique as compared to many other mangas including DBZ.

you don't have to be a psycho to like villains. I tend to gravitate towards villains because they are usually the ones who are more likely to tell things like they are, they're usually cooler, and sometimes they might even have more dimensions to them than heroes. That being said, Sasuke was never a villain.

Childish reasoning. Sasuke's not a villian by the way. Sasuke & Naruto have always been my favorite characters since i first got into this story 10 years ago. Sasuke's my fav, while Naruto's my second fav.
I like Sasuke more because he's Cool, Smart, Badass, has better abilities, a better fighting style & i like his character design more.
& Naruto isn't "wanked" a ton aswell? Sasuke does deserve it. Even in story he is praised in battle alot more than Naruto is.
People shouldn't be dumb enough to dislike a character because of others supporting them alot in times they feel they shouldn't be supported.
He's not a Villian, but possesses those qualities.

No, it's because Naruto & Sasuke are the main characters + have the biggest fanbases (hence them being talked about the most) & the characters themselves are rivals.
You've gotta pay attention to who's speaking against Sasuke, it's usually a Naruto Fanboy in any given situation.
For example," Forget Kishimoto, Naruto is stronger than Sasuke because i like him more!"
It's those types of guys.

I dont think sasuke's a better character at all...his developement got too easily influenced by others during shippuden...
part 1 sasuke >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> shippuden sasuke...and it was becoming more of a joke during shippuden...
you know whos unique?...characters like JIRAIYA...or Itachi...sasuke's character type is seen in tons of other manga...same with naruto...they are NOT that special

Well, it's true. We aren't exactly like them. Quite a lot of Naruto fans genuinely hate Sasuke, if not, then they're just okay with it. But very few actually like Sasuke. In contrast, Sasuke fans who hate Naruto are very few. They don't hate Naruto, they just like Sasuke more, and of course oppose Naruto and his fandom due to Sasuke's rivalry position. In fact, most Sasuke fans have Naruto as their 2nd fav unlike Naruto fans.

You people aren't any better with the ridiculousness in your threads, it outshines Sasuke fans by far e.g. SM Naruto > Pain, SM Naruto > MS Sasuke.
This ^ is the opinion of most Sasuke fans on this base. Not many Naruto fans will say the same.
