10 times is being modest she had 50X more screen time but yet her fans always compare her to Hinata and other overly minor characters

I mean Hinata is one of the least shown characters in the manga, Team 11 has way more screen time

I don't understand why their expectations of her are so high either.

Maybe they had put them too high but ended up getting crushed. That'd explain why they're always raving on about her not having the best development and inferioriry to Sasuke and Naruto in potency.

The point is comparing a side character to a MC only makes that side character looks good, the reverse on the other hand isn't true.

Unlike Sasuke/Naruto she never had any tough upbringing, and you could say that took away the empathy from her. Fans want a maudlin story to which they can connect and Sakura doesn't provide that. She's this simplistic yet sophisticated girl that just had a motivation to become a great ninja. And honestly, that's where, among other things, Kishi went wrong. She had no shitty life to begin with and was somewhat apathetic to both Sasuke and Naruto.

My point being that's more the reason she's frequently compared to the likes of Hinata and Ino. They're all simple characters with no great back story, though Hinata's seemed to be melancholic, to which I can attribute as to why she's the most liked female of all.

I'm not sure that's all to it, but that's kind of the reason she's compared a lot.

No they don't neg all. Pain at his obvious best merks the naruto he fought. Itachi and orochi at their best merks the sasuke they fought. Nagato merks that kcm mode. Kurama would've destroyed naruto without B and kushina, obito would've kamui GG naruto several times had kakashi/gai not appeared. Kakuzu would had sodomized that frs naruto had not kakashi intervened. Ems sasuke got saved by itachi from kabuto and dont get me started on blind madara merking ems sauce. It's embarrassing, if anything her not being compared to them is good. If someone is worthy of comparison it's itachi, orochi, jiraiya, hashi, neji, tobirama, lee, gai etc. Handouts free and void of MC bullshit.

Bulma is actually very well written! Despite not being a fighter, her inventions/intelligence/bravery and overall involvement have helped save the world many times. In some aspects, I'd even say she's better written than Goku.

Lucy Heartfilia has also made a hefty contribution to the protagonists' overall success.
