I think weve all noticed the change in heart that Orochimaru has expressed after his revival. Whats causing him to change so much? Does he now indirectly know that hes the final sannin alive? Whats he gonna do after Sasuke gets his answer from Hashirama? I wonder if theyll become partners instead of student and mentor or possibly Oro working for Sasuke. Hes basically doing stuff for him now

You guys are judging too fast. I believe this is just an act, Orochimaru is far too sinister and clever to have a change of heart off the whim.

I think Jiraiya's death may have affected Orochimaru... while Oro was never truly evil, I believe his ambitions now seem short-sited. Whether or not he attempts to crush the leaf or attain immortality, those who know and care about him will still inevitably die. I bet the weight of Jiraiya's death made Orochimaru realize that toying with peoples' lives for his own ambitions is senseless.

There's probably also a lesson for Sasuke in there.

The only thing i am lingering on is the fact he said

"If sasuke doesn't like his answer he would use them to destroy the village.
Regardless of his plans with sasuke,do you think he is also getting something out of this conversation ?

I mean getting the rest of his chakra and his ninjustu was essential if he wanted to attempt to take over sasuke
But him giving sasuke what he wants is not necessary at all. This is a kind gesture no matter how ones tries to spin it.
Orochimaru is a scholar at heart so it would not surprise me that this conversation is benefiting him as well.

I would also like to point out that the inner monologue if by chance anyone was confused was oro's not sasuke

It is interesting to note that sasuke bringing up his revenge is the trigger of this memory.

So why does sasuke revenge on the leaf trigger this conversation ?
What does it have to do with the invasion in part 1 ?

So many questions. So little chapters lol

He isn't changing . remember he consider the alliance abduction akatsuki his enemies. he has no interest in the war. as for sasuke he know he can't beat him now . i think he is chilling till he gits his full power back
