And yet, One skin color will usualy be dominant, getting you a black baby or a white baby, but not a grey baby. Naruto is not a grey baby, as he inherited his life force from Kushina.
I would say the reason is that he was closer the the nine tails, which meant that removing it had a bigger efect on him.

and what everyone else said (half uzumaki) plus hes been fighting for like what a week str8 now? kushina we can assume was at full chakra/strength until she gave birth and then he was able to extract the kyubi because the seal is its weakest at childbirth. she was full and probably still had more chakra left than naruto does in his current state. Im still wondering why minato didn't seal half the kyubi back into kushina and half into naruto if that would have saved her?? it feels like news to me that doing that could save her...unless the fox kept that secret for a reason until now loll
