Why is Itachi always compared to the Top Tiers?

Sasuke was a weight during Kabuto's fight, but he wasnt one all the time.

Itachi was hit by the spikes from the ground/ceiling because he was protecting Sasuke.


And yes Itachi did get hit by Kabuto as showed by the panels above.... but he got hit because he was casting Izanami.... a jutsu he wouldnt have used if he didnt want to save Kabuto from himself.


Itachi and Sasuke were holding back, while Kabuto went all out on Itachi. The only thing he didnt do is directly target Sasuke because he was his reward and didnt want to injure him.


I must say that i found the ''horn'' argument pretty funny. As in Kabuto only got hit because his horn wasnt there before...


You do realise that... despite all of Kabuto's overpoweredness when it comes to sensing instantly what surrounds him..... he was still in a vulnerable position. A position in which he could have been in great danger had Itachi wanted to kill him and not shave something off him.

Itachi had him good at this point, he fooled Kabuto by thinking it was the real him yet it was a mere clone that Kabuto couldnt detect. This displays the the jutsu speed that Itachi possesses.... even your most powerfull and well rounder shinobies can't fully keep up with him.

I'm not saying Itachi wins against Kabuto.... but im trying to make a few things clear.

Izanami was the goal Itachi gave to himself Kabuto could benefit from him.

Izanami is what put Itachi in a bad spot at the end, as he was trying to start the ''end'' phase of the jutsu, which lead to him succeeding in executing Izanami after.

Without Izanami, Itachi wouldnt have been put in a bad position
Had Sasuke not been there.... Itachi wouldnt have been hit the first time

Had Itachi wanted to kill Kabuto.... he wouldnt have needed to shave Kabuto's horn, he could tried something else that would have prooved to be more dangerous.


Kabuto to some extent may have held back, but that only goes with Sasuke..... but when it came to Itachi who was his main target... he went all out and tried to kill him he have the chance to.

idk about that, but people usually argue Itachi's "low chakra" when they're either haters, cause Itachi is stronger than their fav char, or fanboys of other characters with basically the same reason. I know sometimes itachi fans get a little overboard, but i personally use logic. and that's what get them. Cause they know that "Nagato stomps Itachi you *******" is not a good argument. that was just an example. Itachi can go on par with ANY character in the series. and has a great chance to prevail in ANY fight, due to our limited knowledge of him.

I would like to remind you that sasuke was rather an obstacle for itachi while he was fighting kabuto. He had to protect his ass. What you are saying is irrelevant. We have still no profound knowledge of what sasuke can do and how naruto can handle himself against strong enemies alone.

dude just let it go. I provided pages, to a guy, stating when Itachi saved sasuke's ass in that fight. It was 4-1. Itachi saved sasuke 4 times, sasuke saved Itachi once. Then i provide pages, and this guy just disregards those, and tries to prove that itachi saved sasuke once, while sasuke- 5 times, with NO PROOF whatsoever and called me a butthurt fanboy i wanted to laugh at his misserable life so bad man. just let it go.As they say "Haters gonna Hate" XD

He was speaking of modifications made to Madara. That's a whole different case compared to other edos also.

People need to realize that the fight back then had completely other conditions. Firstly they mustn't kill Kabuto, secondly Itachi took advantage of his regeneration and let himself hit purposely, what was also the reason for saving Sasuke while getting a target himself. Last but not least Itachi took Sasuke into account who could back him up in the case he will getting hit by Kabuto, for example when he sliced Itachi in half.

In a scenario where Itachi is alive and fights Kabuto in a 1on1 battle with the intention to kill him, he would consequently create a new strategy and way to battle Kabuto.

Itachi cn defeat any1 in the list(xcpt maybe Hashi, Edo Madara nd Rennigan Tobi) considering he does nt turn blind, has enough chakra nd totally fit. Kabuto wasnt winning, itachi was letting him think he was so that he could create the loop. Remember itachi said it started from the first time he stabbed him. and if danzo who is neither senju nor uchiha can use izanagi you dont think the uchiha can? cmon man

I'm not here to ridicule anyone, but you are part of a group of people on this forum which apparently doesn't read the manga properly. It's true that Itachi STARTED the jutsu when he was stabbed the first time but Kabuto was first AFFECTED by it after he stabbed him the second time and in the time between those two stabs, Kabuto "killed" Itachi 2 times.

Part of why I like Naruto is that the stronger character isn't always the one that wins. In the times we've seen Itachi fight we've never seen him at his fullest, even with Sasuke Obito basically said he fixed the fight so Sasuke could win, but we have seen something more important.

Itachi's ability to breakdown a jutsu and then exploit its weakness gives an advantage to him since it allows him to potentially overcome his weaknesses and fight smarter and more efficiently.

Superior intellect is a big part of why Minato, Itachi, Shikamaru, Daru, and Kakashi have been able to take down stronger people or prevail in impossible situations.
