Why is Itachi always compared to the Top Tiers?

He gets compared to top tier because he's always being extremely overrated by fanboy's! Most people make threads to prove that he can't compete with people like Minato, Nagato ect ...

People Don't Listen to reason ... think he's unbeatable and can beat anyone and according to most people he has unlimited chakara or so you would think by the way they go on about him. So they make threads to try counter the people who are "ACTUALLY" correct and people get mislead but the way they talk about him and give people the impression that they know more about itachi than them and so they take on board all the stupid stuff people say about him being unbeatable ect ect ...

Itachi isn't even top 10 for me ... Due to his Poor chakara levels.. If you look at everyone who is in the top 10 there chakara is huge and they all have great knowledge on sharingan...

Fanbooyism aside how many people have said itachi was in a league of his own ?Tobi put his parts of his plan on hold because itachi was around.He said this himself.Well versed in the knowledge of his clan being able to perform its most forbidden techniques.Wielding sword of tostkua combined with the yata mirror made him virtually invincible.His intellect was on par with shikamaru.
The only thing he did not have going for him was stamina which his sickness
could of possibly attributed to.And even with that kind of handicap he never let his opponent use that against him Itachi was an all around powerful and wise shinobi.
Who has been shown to best even the most powerful shinobi the manga can produce
by utilizing his own skills

They were all sleeping and that other "1" person happened's to be one of the strongest ninja's we have come across so far .... Listening to hype isn't enough to claim he's in a league of his own, he's proven strong sure but nothing that top strong top tier ninja can't handle ... Kakashi is in Itachi's league, He's a genius maybe but who isn't in the top 10? Minato was a one in a life time genius who created all his own jutsu, he has achieved and shown much more in the sense of intelligence if you ask me! Kakashi is superior Intelligence tbh... Madara, Nagato and tobi arn't exactly stupid either!

Itachi is not a Spammer Type like sasuke , that's His style , Pull only what he needs in a Fight , and figure out what's his Opponent's Weakness really Easily

Itachi basically is top 10 Hands-Down with 2 OP Jutsus , Absolute defence and Absolute Sealing Technique, Taijutsu Powers and Genjutsu Mastery.

Absolute defence ... Sure, but it's a massive risk of itachi with his low stamina and his eye's will fell the effect also, How long do you think he can last with his "ABSOLUTE DIFFERENCE" up? He can't do much when he's in it either tbh. The sword isn't exactly fast and he can't outlast them in chakara ...

Genjutsu Mastery ... yeah he's great with genjutsu but who doesn't know how to fight again a sharingan user, i'm not saying it's impossible but you look at knowledge and the power of those shinobi there not stupid to fall for something easy plus itachi would have a hard time defending himself against Minato, Nagato, Naruto, Sasuke, Madara, Tobi, Hashirama!

Amaterasu 0-10 meters and can be sensed plus itachi's has to keep concentration and close his eye which then starts to bleed ... tsukuyomi 0-5 meters distance max with perfect eye contact .... It's not exactly going to be easy with them having knowledge on his abilities plus they wouldn't be looking at his eyes ...

Taijutsu Powers ... Who on this list couldn't go head to head with itachi in Taijutsu ... in fact he couldn't even get that close to some of the ninja on that list without being wiped out clean!

- to kill orochimaru (he tried but .....)
- to stop tobi's plan (idk what kind of undercover shinobi he was . could not even realize what kind of disaster tobi could bring )

Second: He never intended to kill Oro and he could have killed him if he wanted to because Oro couldn't do shit against Itachi when his hand was cut off..

Kabuto also kept Itachi alive on purpose. Both Sasuke & Itachi needed each other to take him down.

Most people put him up there because they are trying to justify EDO Itachi's power. When alive, his chakra level is barely above average at best, and he uses chakra taxing jutsus in rapid succession. He's like Kakashi, needing to rest after over exerting himself.

Edo Itachi is way up there, because he doesn't have to worry about running out of chakra.

Also, we can't judge Prime Hiruzen. We have less information on how strong he is than how strong Hashirama is.

If you recall, sasuke, fused with oro, used CS1, then CS2, didnt use any techs as exhausting as MS ones, then oro came out, and then when sasuke returned, He was the one to run out of chakra before his blind, dying brother, who WAS already supposed to have been dead. People read the databooks and go like "oh, low stamina? itachi's weak, yes" and then they just skim through the part where it says that he kept himself alive through medication and sheer willpower so that he could have died in front of sasuke. I know Itachi is one of Kishis fav characters. He mentioned it on occasion, and i even recall an interview in which he praised Itachi, saying that he has never revealed his full power to anyone, and he is not the type of person to let an organization like Akatsuki know about his full potential. now what does that tell you P.S don't give the crap that Sasuke was "holding" back Oro and was using more chakra, because NO factual evidence supports that. Not ONCE did he state such a thing. Oro started taking over, WHEN he ran out of his own and CS chakra and started to push for more.

I don't really see how you fans can compare Itachi to the all-time greats. He just does not have enough power. In my opinion the Top Tier characters are:

• Nagato
• Tobi
• Naruto
• Hiruzen Prime
• Madara
• Hashirama
• Minato(borderline)
• Kabuto(without edo borderline)

Itachi just cannot defeat any of the characters listed above. Also Itachi never defeated any character of significance without a decent amount of help, along with his poor stamina I don't really see how he can make top tier.

Well he's definately on par or probably stronger than minato. Also he beat kabuto and hiruzen in his prime wasn't even that good.

3rd what tobi said about itachi was the same thing as what pein said about jiraiya , ninja keep secrets to survive and it's true for every shinobi in narutoverse . to defeat ur opponent u must analyze him and sometime u have to do it during the battle . it's funny he joined the akastsuki to protect konoha and could not even analyze his ally who helped him in the massacre . what a shame . i don't know why people call him intelligent
