Why is Itachi always compared to the Top Tiers?

Fact is that Tobi/Obito is afraid of Itachi and why would the Tobi/Obito that we're seeing now in the manga be different from the Tobi/Obito who admitted that he is afraid of Itachi.

Just because Naruto can go into some bullshit Modes now doesn't mean he is better than Itachi, he might be stronger but Itachi still outbrains him.

You know I wasn't, then I made a few posts that made sense to me and others, like Prime Itachi and Tsukuyomi but all the fanboys of other characters kept calling me one even though I knew I wasn't. So eventually I just gave in.

Regardless, if Hitler told you 2+2=4 then does that mean 2+2 insn't 4?
If Jesus told you to love others but Jesus wasn't God, but really just a crazy hippie, does that mean you shouldn't be nice? No.

So if a fanboy makes valid arguments with references, sound statistics and logic does that mean what he said isn't correct?

I think Itachi is an all time great in Naruto, hes def in the top 10. Itachi is a character that we will never see his true potential. Every time we see him in action he always has new abilities shown for that situation or some unknown knowledge on the situation. I think Kishi did this on purpose so he can still have what if "hype". Very similar to Minato. If you think about it, Kishi needed Itachi to die. But he wouldn't let Itachl be defeated in an all out 1v1. So he made Itachi sick so that he can die by his own hand basically. From what we have seen and his abilities on paper, he is def top 10 in Naruto.

so much crap going in this thread i could quote and counter like 100x things.. not a fanboy really he is like my 5th favorite, but facts are facts he beat kabuto so how ppl can say he isn't better is beyond me.. Tobi was afraid of him stating that he would probably be dead had Itachi been the wiser. His genjutsu trumps anybody's up there and not just sharigan genjutsu. His signs and mirror/yamata sword make his susano stupidly OP - it isn't full bodied but the upper half is 100% complete.

He in my opinion would fodderize all paths of Pein other than Deva and has pluasible counters for even that.
This just is... not a fanboy but nothing i said is disputable it is pure fact.

His genjutsu trumps Nagato, who mastered yin release at age 10 and Obito, who in fact has more credible genjutsu feats then Itachi himself? Hell genjutsu of any kind wouldn't work on Obito if he were intangible.

Itachi is still smarter than Naruto, yes Naruto might be STRONGER than Itachi when it comes to RAW strength but Itachi uses his strength better than Naruto.

Btw Itachi said that Tsukuyomi can only be countered by someone who has the Sharingan and since Naruto doesn't have the Sharingan he's ****ED.

Itachi is just wiser and smarter than Naruto. Speed alone doesn't win you a fight.
