Why is Itachi always compared to the Top Tiers?

Minato always starts by scattering kunai? How many battles have we seen with Minato? Who says he can't summon one of the frogs?

In the war he scattered kunai. In his battle A he scattered kunai. Against tobi he scatttered kunai. That's what he does.

Minato summoning a frog. How would that even help. The frog would only get in the way it can't keep up with Itac and I hardly doubt Minato gets the chance to use one.

There is nothing to suggest Minato did shunshin all the way across the village. He did have seals scattered across the village itself no? Also it didn't show an instance of Minato even running. The reason I consider Itachi on par with Minato because both have shown incredible speed feats that put them on top. Only with ftg minato surpasses Itachi.

Moving on you still assume Minato fights like you want him to. He's the analyzing type he doesn't rush. Minato stars by scattering kunai and itachi starts with a genjutsu. This is a manga fact. By that Minato will already be caught ina genjutsu before he does hardly anything.

Again why do you keeep bringing up susanoo. What sense does it make to use this technique against an opponent who can teleport. That is silly and if you think Itachi would waste his chakra on a tech that won't even touch his opponent is sillier.
You keep think Minato fights like A in constant motion. Minato isn't shown to fight like this. He also has to wary not to attack while making eye contact. Assuming he can get out the genjutsu placed on him in the beginning of the fight. Also assuming he can get close to Itachi when all Itachi has to do is stay away from the kujnai

Who is to say that he wouldn't fight Itachi in constant motion the fight hasn't and probably won't happen...but on a side note you can't tell me that Minato CAN'T fight in constant motion because it is definitely within his capabilities and within the realm of possibilities for him to do so against a sharingan user...

Also we are all going to come up with ideal situations for each character to win; so let's talk about both character's ideal situations.. Itachi's ideal situation is catching Minato with a genjutsu..that's his only chance...however Minato would wreck him and piss on his grave after their confrontation in every other circumstance... U_U

Minato, Prime Hiruzen and DSM Kabuto are just below top tier IMO - they're on Itachi's level. Don't know why Itachi is compared to the rest, however.

Really its I'm in no need for troll replies. We don't know much about the limits of his technique so to say he can do something without seeing it is dum. Btw hello Itachi has won every fight with genjutsu so I don't see how its a stretch to say he would win this one the same way.

Yeah but whatever Minato fans have clearly overrun this thread. I don't see how anyone with a logical outlook of how both people fight can see this battle in Minatos favor.

Minato has the frog summons. Yes I know this already. Does he use them in a fight no. Rarelt it seems. Would he use it in this fight? Unlikely because he doesn't start with summons and only uses them when he really needs to.

he appeared on the top of kurama's head and summoned gamabunta, seals cannot be placed mid air, also whenever he uses FTG the kunai or seal is shown always. Hell sometimes they even get a whole panel to themselves

the reason for this. Is because "any character who has one shot kill moves (sealing, soul stealing, jintton, boil, haxxed speed with strenght, etc etc) has a chance agaisnt top tiers.

Obviously Rinnegan users are an exception to those that have one shot kill moves that are ninjutsu.

Seriously though why itachi fans always fall for troll threads and feel the need to constantly defend a character like itachi who's abilities still remain a mystery, simple because he always pulls something new from the bag. Perhaps when sasuke said he feels itachi's power flowing through him, we might see an ability or technique that sasuke later recognises and pays homage to as itachi's ability. Secondly all his fights has he been hindered with another purpose which isnt to kill and that always makes life harder for himself. The stronger the opponent the higher this task becomes and as kakashi stated against akatsuki member's you might end up killing them because its almost impossible to fight with the intention of not killing a high level opponent. Yet he has succeeded one way or another in all his fights when given these hindrance. Kishi has always shackled him, either by this unknown illness to his battles always being for other purposes
