Why is Itachi always compared to the Top Tiers?

Kabuto also kept Itachi alive on purpose. Both Sasuke & Itachi needed each other to take him down.

Most people put him up there because they are trying to justify EDO Itachi's power. When alive, his chakra level is barely above average at best, and he uses chakra taxing jutsus in rapid succession. He's like Kakashi, needing to rest after over exerting himself.

Edo Itachi is way up there, because he doesn't have to worry about running out of chakra.

Also, we can't judge Prime Hiruzen. We have less information on how strong he is than how strong Hashirama is.

I don't really see how you fans can compare Itachi to the all-time greats. He just does not have enough power. In my opinion the Top Tier characters are:

• Nagato=Itachi
• Tobi>>>>Itachi
• Naruto>Itachi
• Hiruzen Prime>>Itachi
• Madara>>>>>>>>Itachi
• Hashirama>>>>>>>>Itachi
• Minato>>>Itachi
• Kabuto<Itachi

Itachi just cannot defeat any of the characters listed above. Also Itachi never defeated any character of significance without a decent amount of help, along with his poor stamina I don't really see how he can make top tier.

Gtfo with that ridiculous assumption. Itachi is my 2nd fav character but, I admit he loses to:
Tobi, Madara, Naruto, Hashirama, Muu, SM Kabuto, Nagato

He has a 50/50 chance against:
SM Jiraiya, Minato, 3rd Raikage, 2nd Mizukage, EMS Sasuke, Hiruzen, Danzo, Kakashi, Kisame fused with Samehada

Were we all reading the same manga? Kabuto had counters for everything Itachi threw at him. Itachi was leading the fight but Sasuke had to back him up and save him at least three times during the battle. Even Kabuto's genin level sound genjustu one-shotted him.

Itachi had no way of beating kabuto until kishi made the complete asspull Izami. A genjustu that can effect you no matter what LOL. The story behind it doesnt even make sense. How were all the past Uchiha spamming Izangi when you senju DNA to use it properly?

Ill admit Edo Itachi is the debate-able person here COMPLETELY lol if Itachi was never sick I think he could've gone far if he never got sick he would've taken sasukes eyes but kishi made it his way agreed on hiruzen he's a lot like minato not enough info on those 2 characters

Fanbooyism aside how many people have said itachi was in a league of his own ?Tobi put his parts of his plan on hold because itachi was around.He said this himself.Well versed in the knowledge of his clan being able to perform its most forbidden techniques.Wielding sword of tostkua combined with the yata mirror made him virtually invincible.His intellect was on par with shikamaru.
The only thing he did not have going for him was stamina which his sickness
could of possibly attributed to.And even with that kind of handicap he never let his opponent use that against him Itachi was an all around powerful and wise shinobi.

Doesn't have enough physical strength. Realies heavly Chakra based jutsus =x. Not a ALL AROUND powerful person. But a powerful person indeed. He Tosuka Sword and Yata Miror are probably not indestructible.


But its pointless to say We don't have enough info on the following characters: Tobirama , Hashirama , Minato , Hiruzen.

Why? Because we are supposed to judge with the information we are already given. And we know plenty of their jutsus or atleast their skills. And also, you have to take their hype into account. People will debate on Hiruzen..... But he was a 60+ old man who hadn't fought for a long time.. It took, a containment barrier, 2 (not correctly used) Edo Kages, and Oro. that my friend is badass for a 60 year old guy......

sure but both people were lacking intent to kill so its not exactly the best exanple of what would happen. Imo Itachis strongest attribute is his intelligence, and thats why i put him on par with minato. To me kabuto was just a pawn who managed to obtain power through others not from his own intelligence or hard work and thats why he to me isnt that strong but has strong weapons.

Kabuto wasnt winning, itachi was letting him think he was so that he could create the loop. Remember itachi said it started from the first time he stabbed him. and if danzo who is neither senju nor uchiha can use izanagi you dont think the uchiha can? cmon man
