Why is it different ??

I was reading the Manga of One Piece,chapter 162,Luffy with his crew are in a desert.
But in the Anime in the desert was Ace too,in manga not.

Why Anime is different than Manga ??

there are always slight differences , this just happens to be a bigger one...
e.g. hashirama used bringer of darkness in the manga , but tobirama used it in the anime

Originally Ace just passed by to see Luffy, gives Luffy a paper, and left. In the anime, my guess is the animators, studio all who were in charge of animating ONEPIECE back then. They felt it would be cool if Ace accompanied the StrawHats for a little while.

Ever since Ace appeared for first time in the manga, he has shown how cool of a character being. Big brother of the main character? That sounds cool, right? However, his existence in the anime Arabasta didn't change anything in the series of events.

There were a few filler episodes made during that time when Ace was around. Also, they modified the cannon so where Ace was with them in the desert. Like the scorpion scene. Two appeared in the anime as instead of one. The first one was cannon where the crew beat it, the other was done single handed by Ace. Most people probably didn't even realize they were filler too.

The anime didn't mess up. They kept Ace there for those filler episodes because of the popularity Ace revived when he was first introduced in the manga. They probably thought it would be cool if Ace hung around for a few episodes then gave Luffy the paper when he left as apposed to when he gave it to him in the manga on the boat. It was to expand on Ace's character and show how strong he was compared to Luffy. pretty much it.
