Why is it about Sakura that you dislike the most?

I don't hate her, but I hate the fact that despite everything Sasuke has done to her, Naruto, the Kage, and many others she still fawned over him like a school girl crush. Even during battle she was upset that "Sasuke-kun" wasn't noticing her.

I understand still caring for his well being and all but at least punch the guy in the face for everything he's done.

I blame Kishi for this though. He didn't even want to put her in the series and thought that drawing her really slowly and making her look prettier would somehow make people like her more.

she is one of the few really hard working chars. she didnt have any powers given to her. she surpassed one of the legendary sannins all on her own, and was way above pretty much anyone of her generation except for naruto and sasuke yet people shit on her on pretty much every occasion they have..
she was really caring and a good friend and potential life partner to naruto(which later was retconned of course to please fans but whatever). and also she was the first to take out an akatsuki member, she was hella badass, but sadly never got the screentime she would have deserved.

Her best moment was probably when she nearly fainted in front of Madara- even though random fodder had more guts. She was literally stagnant throughout the story. Didn't overcome any of her flaws, didn't accomplish anything except function as a healing potion... she's a waste of paneltime. If she died in pt1, the story would barely have changed. Only the person tasked with healing others would be different.

Then again, she's the only one bland enough to be able to function as a self-insert..

omg lol the level of hate in some people for this story book girl is baffling the rage in this one is strong.

The wasted potential. Even the worst Sakura haters have to give her some ammount of credit for her actions in the battle against Sasori. It seemed like we were in for a redemption for all her uselessness in part 1....and then the rest of Shippuden happened.

Despite being a main character, Kishi forgot her development like the rest of the K11. Except Sakura is ever present and that only reminds us that Kishi accomplished nothing with her character.

Take the time to appreciate that Kabuto was given several chapters to his backstory, development and motivations. While Kishi never found the time to introduce Sakura's parents in the manga. Priorities.

Kishi didn't view Sakura as her own character, she was merely the third uncomfortable link required to make the relationship triangle work. Sakura dialogue and plot beats to Kishi are simply: Team 7 focus time. Confirmed when he admitted to being poor at female characters and again when he said his favourite characters and theme as Team 7.
