Why Is Hashirima Senju so Weak?

Recently in the Manga it has been shown that Madara can easily take out all of the Kage. Then he later stated that Hashirima Senju is the only one that can defeat him. So if Hashirima Senju is stronger than Madara who is stronger than all of the Kage how come when Orochimaru revived him and HIS brother they could not defeat old man third hokage?

Orochimaru was controlling them madara had free will from the start of the battle.Hiruzen also used the reaper death seal to seal them and himself.the match was over.The fan boys will say "but if that didn't happen then"-But thats what happened and they have to deal with it.

That is debatable. The Senjus didn't even use all of their available jutsus....

This thread ^^^ shows examples of how edo's can be their strongest when they are in complete control of their bodies as the user will not know their full capabilities and also the abilities they do know they will not know how to use it as efficiently as the edo would

I think if Orochimaru had let Hashirama and Tobirama roam free like Madara is right now, they would not fight Hiruzen. But by taking full control of them and turning them into puppets he took away there true power.

They were also never really doing anything else but constantly attacking or defending. Even Orochimaru states in the fight that he's toying around with Hiruzen.

It has been stated that the senju clan as a whole where stronger then the uchiha and this was implied even more when the two top dogs went at it madara and hashirama and madara brought the kyuubi and still got is ass handed to him.

Orochimaru probably didn't know all of their techniques. By time both of them died he was maybe a kid. Either a kid, or wasn't born yet. He probably only heard rumors about the 2 Hokages, and went with what he heard.

Hashirama is a strong shinobi, we just don't know exactly how strong since we haven't seen him fight on his own.

Another problem with judging them based off of their edo tensei appearance(Hashi and Tobirama) is it was a really short fight.

Hiruzen knew he couldn't engage in a long fight. Didn't have near enough chakra to do so, his old age had practically crippled him, so he just said **** it and used Shiki Fuujin to put an end to it. He didn't give Hashi or Tobi any chance to unleash what they were capable of because he knew in his old age he couldn't handle them.

That is purely your assumption, I could say he surpassed them by being able to give them complete free will, although that may not necessarily be true.

The manga does not state the level of improvement (as far as I recall) so it is up to the reader to interpret how they wish to see it.
