Why is Ao's Byakugan not Continuously Activated?

nope, that is not the question of the thread. The question is : why isn't it always active as in transplanted sharingans ? I know it isn't always active, that is why I am asking xd

i think its as MrSharingan said. he might have done that to enhance its visibility...it might be in some sort of low visibility mode for lessening the chakra usage....and after concentrating more chakra ( hand seals) he enhances the visibility.....

I still doubt this, because, if Ao's dojuitsu was active he's a fool to have been caught by that trap.

Ao's a sensor type ninja, and has had encounters with Shusui of the Mirage before. I doubt you forget the feel of the chakra, if its that strong. Karin can feel chakra with out useing her senseing abilities. She could feel/sense the light of Narutos chakra and then also the evil of the fox inside.

Also wouldnt we see a diffrence in the way Ao was looking at himself or, when Foo was looking at his trap, or at Mizkage if his occular abilites we active all the time?

Wasnt Ao a hunter ninja or on the Mists ANBU squad?

I think it has something to do with the seals on his ear, and the eyepiece over the eye with the byakugan

this^ the seals on his ears are only there to prevent people from taking the eye. i believe the patch over the byakugan is the real reason.

yeah they all have white eyes, but that doesn't mean that it is always active

thank you you can tell when they have it active because they pour extrea chakra and the veins/chakra system around their eyes bulge.

Well I saw early today a thread about why Kakashi can't deactivate his sharingan so I remembered I have a question.

When Ao revealed that he possessed a Byakugan that he had taken form a Hyuga clan member, I found it to be very odd that it was not continuously active, as were Kakashi and Danzo's Sharingan, and that it did not drain an extraordinary amount of chakra because he was not a member of the Hyuga clan, as do Kakashi and Danzo's Sharingan.

Why might that be? I understand that the Byakugan and Sharingan are different from each other, but I believe that any kekkei genkai that are somehow appropriated by a person who does not normally possess them should have some form of penalty that a person born with it should not possess. Why do Kakashi and Danzo have drawbacks for not being Uchihas, but Ao does not have a drawback for not being a Hyuga? That seems to be very unfair, to me.

Because I think.. I may just destroy everyones predictions in this.. tobi isnt madara at all.. >.> Notice kakashi cant deactivate his.. because hes not uchiha (same goes for ao, because hes not hyuga) anyone notice.. madara's is never deactivated? Burst your bubbles at all lol.
