[Discussion] Why I believe the Hyuga's are not going to affect the story.

No one ever had a theory of them affecting the story, until Kaguya was shown to have the Byakugan. This means there was no evidence of that until now, so how can something that hasn't ever changed the plot be something important now?

Look at the conversation between Naruto and the Sage, the sage brings up the Byakugan for 2 seconds then moves straight to the sharigan. Naruto doesnt question it all, he knows of the Hyuuga's yet doesn't mention them. Its like Kishimoto just threw it in there so he could give the Byakugan a quick close.

The Hyuga characters are not really that imporant to the main story or plot. There has never been any evidence that would show that they are going to be imporant later on.

If any Hyuga was going to be important, it would have been Neji. He is dead, Hinata has only ever been involved in romance plot, Hanabi is hardly even known as is her father.

Conclusion:

I am sure Kishi will bring up the byakugan again but I dont think it is going to change anything. I dont hate the Hyugas but its just so late to include them now. Especially with the most talented one dead.

For me the hyugas never really played any important role... Besides the sideinfo during the Naruto vs Neji fight I didnt even really bother about them. Byakugan is good, but so is the Crystal kekkei genkai by guren and yet noone talks about her ..

The development was probably just Neji dying...even though that happened in 2012, not 2013. I've never even seen such an interview to begin with, I've asked CC for a link but she has yet to ever provide one. U_U

According to Kishi, the manga is supposed to end this year. That means there are less that 36 chapters left.

I feel like Kishimoto chose to kill of Neji so he would have an excuse not to development the Hyuuga clan any further. Neji was the one who wanted to change his clan, but now he's gone. I don't think there is enough room for development for them anymore, because we still have to read about Naruto/Sasuke defeating Madara, Madara admitting he was wrong (maybe? Villains are usually redeemed a little before they pass away in this series), what will happen to the Juubi, Sasuke's intentions and what he wants to do as hokage (how he wants to better the village), who will actually become hokage, Shikamaru and Sakura are probably going to become Naruto's assistants if he becomes hokage, etc. Yamato is probably in the Spiral Zetsu (he needs to be revealed) and there needs to be closure with the hokages (Minato saying good bye to his son Naruto, Hashirama maybe saying bye to Tsunade or reconciling with Madara, Tobirama may reconcile with Madara maybe). We also don't know how Hiruzen and his side of the alliance are doing. And what about Killer Bee? And what about Kakashi's real face, he has to take off his mask (maybe he will never take off his mask, who knows?)!!! That's alot to fit in 36 chapters or less.

Lol you're mistaken, Byakugan was mentioned in the very first chapters during Neji's fight vs Hinata and how it's superior to sharingan in terms of eyesight. Kishi had foreshadowed it from the very beginning, same thing happened with spiral zetsu. There was a time I made a thread about his strange disappearance and how it wasn't making any sense for him to be dead, everyone thought that he had lost his importance yet at the following chapter we saw him fighting against the whole alliance, that alone speaks volumes of Kishi's style to make things unimportant just to suddenly turn them completely.
