[Discussion] Why Hunter x Hunter is potentially the best current shonen .

Agreed. HxH is amazing, too bad Togashi is gonna end it like he did with YYH. He's shitting on his own manga.

For me it is HxH/FMA Broterhood and then OP.

The only thing that sucks is the art in the Manga of HxH. It also had arcs that were not amazing (just good) but OP or any other shonen had many of them as well.

For me the ongoing shonens go One Piece>Toriko>HxH>Fairy Tail>=Naruto

All time it goes One Piece>Phoenix>Toriko>DB=HxH=Shaman King=FMA>Naruto>...

Naruto could be up there with SK, DBZ and HxH if this last four years were better

HxH for me can't compete with my very fav because it lack an overarching story, is too inconsistent (by that I mean Togashi and arc wuality not the story jtself), only a few arcs stand out and the narration which assumes the readers are idiots at times and the quite big asspulls or plotholes or whatever you want to call them, and there is just something missing for me, for example when Gon met Ging I wasn't even close to as excited as when I first read that Garp is Luffy's grandfather and Dragon Luffy's father

But it is still the third of my current big 3 and I love it

Naruto and Hunter x Hunter are one of a kind, both implemented some crazy elements unlike other series

That is why I consider both series as great but I have to see the conclusion to consider the best


I enjoy Naruto more than anything though
