I love that more and more people are getting on the Hunter x Hunter wave. Its greatness shouldn't be overlooked by anyone who claims to love anime/manga. Imo it is the best shonen out right now in terms of writing and complexity. So glad Togashi is finally coming back in a few months. I guess they threatened to end him lol

Imo One Piece manga is better. The OP anime lacks pacing but Oda's story makes up for it.

But you're right HxH is very good even though it suffers from pacing issues. Dat chimera arc was too long.

IMO, HxH is better than One Piece and Naruto but One Piece could have the best story out of the three. I love HxH and I was so glad that I started it last year. There are so many amazing characters and villains; Chrollo, Hisoka, Phinks, Netero, Zeno, Silva, etc. The main characters are awesome as well and all the arcs are so suspenseful especially the Yorknew City arc. The anime just gets better and better, I mean the last episode was off the charts and possibly the greatest episode I have seen in any series. I firmly believe that HxH is number one and better than the Big 3.

Here's how I see it...

The HxH anime stomps on the OP anime, out of the big shonen titles (Naruto, OP & Bleach) , HxH has the best anime adaptation. Overall as a series, HxH is just good. It only has 2 amazing arcs, one of them being near perfect which is the YorkNew City arc but the Chimera ant arc was really good but it had it's flaws (slow start & asspulls at the end). The heavens arena, greed island & election arc were good arcs, not amazing. The rest of the arcs are either average or just meh. That isn't enough to place it over series like OP. I don't HxH has reached to that feat. yet. Now that being said, the dark continent arc is simply amazing. The amount of dialogue & content we get in each chapter is a lot for a chapter. If togashi can keep that consistency & greatness that the dark continent arc is showing, then it'll prob. be as good as OP if not better! However one small complaint about the dark continent so far is that it seems that Togashi just slaps on a sh*t ton of dialogue. I mean some of the heavy dialogue either feel pointless or just can be summarized pretty easily due to the excess amount of words. It seems like OP is the only series that can do heavy dialogue chapters right.

but story wise i prefer onepiece and it tops other series in my op

While yes I believe in that HXH greatness I for one never really cared for the greatest Shonen of all time and blah blah blah. I don't think the mangaka even care about stuff like this. I just read whatever I think is good in my eyes and enjoy it, no need to try to compare them imo as all these people have different styles of doing things with the story and characters and one might see Togashi way as simply amazing and another can easily dislike it.
