Why hate Sasori? He's extremely powerful.

1. sasori obviously has no chance against tobi or pain, lets just say thats a given
2. with itachi's speed and sharingan, he would be able to avoid most of sasori's attacks. even if he couldnt, amaterasu/susanoo, take your pick, i don't see sasori standing up to either one
3. all kisame has to do is use the giant bubble of water that he used on bee and sasori is screwed
4. although deidara does say in the manga that sasori is stronger than him, i think deidara would be a difficult enemy for him, seeing as how he can just fly around and bomb his ass. even if deidara is somehow defeated, he would self destruct and undoubtedly kill sasori. so lets call that a tie
5. konan showed against tobi that she can wrap people up with paper bombs and even tobi wasnt fast enough to avoid it, i doubt sasori could. my money's on konan but i guess sasori would have a chance
6. kakuzu can harden his body so he won't get scratched and i assume that would protect him from sasori's poison. i think kakuzu's five hearts v. sasori's hundred puppets would be an interesting battle. this one could go either way.
7. sasori would, however, **** up both hidan and zetsu.

so after all this i would have to put sasori at middle/lower of the pack in akatsuki :shrug:

absolutely agree.
by this post you can also see why i think that he's weak (in comparision to the more important characters), because he's countered by

• a good defense (susano'o, iron armor, raiton-armor, sand, ...),
• good speed/sharingan (even sakura managed to evade most of his attacks and she is far from really fast)
• mass-destruction (imagine deideira dropping a bomb like the one he dropped on suna, sasori and his puppets would have 0 chance to survive it. e.g tsuchikage's jinton would kill him easily too.).

tell me one single character who is near kage level and doesnt at least have one of these. btw: i doubt that hidan would die by the poison or be hit by the sand. resulting in sasori taking place 9/10 in akatsuki.

@deideira calling sasori master: i think it was senpai in the anime/manga, referring him as the older person or more experienced in the group because of a longer membership. it had nothing to do with strength.

sorry for the late quote but why is konan at the bottom not on is she amazing at recon but her fight skills are on par with sasuke plus she has near maybe higher IQ than Shikamaru. She was able to predict her battle to the T against tobi and knew every secret about his transportation justu and what allowed him to move through object, able to notice in a split second if genjutsu is cast upon her, oh and lets not forget about the sea of paper bombs that numbered to i think what was a million if someone else were to explode that many paper bomb in a short time it would exhausted their chakra and kill them the only reason tobi lived is because he used a jutsu that he him self had called forbidden and never used losing one of his eyes

Sasori has a wide choice of puppets,traps and tricks to bust out with to make a fght intersting, rather than spamming moves like naruto and his rassengan, shadow clones, and sasuke and his susanoo and amaterasu ... thats lame, kakashi is more fun to watch fight then those two lames ^_^
