From what i have gathered hashirama is the human body of the jyubi body is made of mokuton hashirama uses mokuton body contains the yang and spiritual energy. And so far none of the senju have displayed jyubis skills. Jyubi is a tree after all. Its one of the reasons mokuton subdues the tailed beasts just as a body

so the reason as long as they possess both parts they have the iq to give the jyubi power a real medium.
