Hashirama was born a natural genius and Ashura was unskilled and had to work extremely hard and use the power of other people.
Why is this so?
It's simple.
In Samsara, one gets rewarded in the next life for doing the right things in the current life.
All of the weak Ashura's hard work paid off when he died and became the strong Hashirama. Ashura's reward? Raw Natural Strength.
Now, perhaps Hashirama got punished by having lost his powers when he got reincarnated into Naruto. What did he do wrong? idk perhaps it was because he was too naive, perhaps it was because he killed Madara instead of finding another solution. Who knows?
