Why has Konoha never had a Hokage from the Uchiha Clan?

Senju and Uchiha may have made the country without a leader, then after a while, the villagers may have voted that Senju run the joint, in the name of love and peace.

2nd) C Namikaze's comment is a grande failure. All the Uchiha cared about were Konohagakure and its people. They'd die and give everything for those things - and Madara was the only on to have different views and act egoistically, according to the info that was given to us.
3rd) +NLee - the Uchiha were discriminated from day 1 till their very end, by the high-ends of Konoha and else. Again, the Uchiha would do anything to protect the village, but when the Kyuubi attack happened, the high-ends quickly blamed the Uchiha, in order to get rid of them.
