You're just expressing it in a different way, but to feel bad because you didn't act a certain way you're suppose too is a mistake.

Everyone handles things like this in their own way.

Like for instance me, I don't see death as a sad thing. Just another phase in life whatever it may be, but the sadness comes from the selfishness of wanting whoever it may be to still be apart of my life. Even though they went into another phase of existence.

You say that you don't feel anything when something emotionally substantial occurs, yet you're here, to seek the confirmation of others, to satisfy your own trivial emotional desire?

No.
I ain't going to lie and say no or some bullshit, so yes. I want to know how everyone feels, are there people like me who has the same problems and suffer the same casualties. Is it something wrong to ask that? Does it make me an a**hole? You made it sound like I'am a killer trying to justify my actions, or a selfish bastard who enjoys other people's emotional downwards man.

Your reply is ideal, I, too, had thought of this. When people close to you die, you think of it as starting a new journey in the afterlife.

I do the same, unless they're somebody extremely close, and even then the emotion I show is minimal. It isn't a bad thing, it's just a different way you react to a situation where others might experience huge grief.

I don't know if this is considered selfish, but when I read about people as same as me, I get relieved.

No, I'm saying this is all a charade to seek attention.

People who react to events like death with minimal emotion aren't the same type of people who do this.

I can swear to you that I never meant to seek attention or anything. If that's what you believe, then so be it. It's your opinion after all.

And you know that how?

Maybe he thought there was something wrong with him so he came here for answers...

If you've never sought attention, then the belief you don't feel anything is self-inflicted and no more than a delusion.
I like the way you think, really. It's impressive; however, You can't tell if am delusional or not cause I don't think we know each other very well right? I may believe what you said if I'd spent a lot of time with you. I know myself more than any other person bro.

Just because it's self-inflicted, it doesn't mean that it was done on purpose or even consciously.

For me, people are easy, the very nature of human beings is my forte.
Well, in a way I can also know what people think and feel from looking at their faces, not only me, a lot are. Sorry to break it down on you man, but your forte just now totally failed you. You don't know my true nature, intentions, way of thinking, so there's no possible way to judge me based on one confession, and on top of that, on the internet...

Quite the contrary, my forte has never let me down.

It takes only a small amount of information to come to a precise conclusion after all, the topic in hand isn't complex and doesn't take into any other environmental factors into account and my statements align with that.

Psychologists can root mental troubles in one session too, without prior knowledge either. It's not difficult.

It means you're a future psychopath. Lack of empathy, remorse, guilt or negative feelings towards this type of thing is textbook psychopathy.

It could also be a defense mechanism.

Maybe you just cope different as so many people cope in so many different ways or as Riker said, you're a future psychopath. Don't be a psychopath.

I'm afraid when someone I know personally/am close to dies, I won't cry.

It's not because I don't cry. I cry at movies, sad moments, fictional deaths, and real life stuff, but I fear when someone I know well dies, I won't. I'll be sad, but I'm afraid I just won't. I don't know why. I've cried at the thought of someone I know not being okay because they are old or sick at the moment or whatever, but for some reason, I think I won't and that bothers me.

Hm... I don't think there is is anything wrong with how you react to those situations.
It's just how you are, I guess.

Clearly everyone is different, and I can't really relate. Literally i'm the complete opposite, but maybe, down the road, something/someone will 'force' you to show some emotion.
