For some it can affect them, others it's not as big a deal. I am super sensitive to everything. Even roadkill makes my eyes water, but I have never seen my mother cry or get said about anything.

It means you're a future psychopath. Lack of empathy, remorse, guilt or negative feelings towards this type of thing is textbook psychopathy.

It could also be a defense mechanism.
I wouldn't go to that extent, I'd read some of the comments, and some topics. They say it's kinda normal when that happens.
Maybe you just cope different as so many people cope in so many different ways or as Riker said, you're a future psychopath. Don't be a psychopath.

I'm afraid when someone I know personally/am close to dies, I won't cry.

It's not because I don't cry. I cry at movies, sad moments, fictional deaths, and real life stuff, but I fear when someone I know well dies, I won't. I'll be sad, but I'm afraid I just won't. I don't know why. I've cried at the thought of someone I know not being okay because they are old or sick at the moment or whatever, but for some reason, I think I won't and that bothers me.
I won't be a psychopath, don't worry. I do sometimes tear when I see an extremely sad scene. E.g: Itachi's death. Man I teared...
It's just simply called being stoic
Well, somehow, that's cool... being stoic.
Hm... I don't think there is is anything wrong with how you react to those situations.
It's just how you are, I guess.

Clearly everyone is different, and I can't really relate. Literally i'm the complete opposite, but maybe, down the road, something/someone will 'force' you to show some emotion.
Maybe... I hope.

That's the extreme opposite xD
