Why does Sasuke turn evil now?

WHy did Sasuke go and lose almost all hope returning to the good side now? Why couldn't he have let Karin die in the chuunin exams? Would have saved alot of trouble because if he had he would be killing himself without even knowing it because KB would have killed him without karin saving him.

Sasuke better evil, when he was good Naruto always over shadow him & to be honest he is not a great netural character Seto from Yu.gi.oh & Scorpion from MK were way better in that department.
He was always a prick now he is a evil prick xd.
