My favorite character is Minato, and he will always be. His appearance, the way he acts, his signature move FTG, and his nickname ''The Yellow Flash''. Those are just things I personally like.

I can't really help it that Minato was the 4th Hokage, he just was. But it's not the main reason that I like Minato.

My second favorite character is actually Hinata...

Though I get what you mean, but a lot of those people don't really have a solid favorite character either. One day it's character X due to showing this OP jutsu, the next day it's character Y for doing something even more OP.

.....and besides who said people in NB love strong characters...there are many who love characters like Haruno Sakura, Yamanaka Ino, Inuzuka Kiba and even a fodder like Iruka.

Nice reasoning! Unique, I liked Sai for this reason too (yknow, right before he knocked Sasori & Deidara out of the sky) sometimes one panel is all it can take to start really liking a character.

I think a lot of the reason why people like the OP characters are because they have appealing animation/ "Look Cool". I mean think about it.. most of the OP characters are REALLY COOL. Itachi probably has one of the best character developments within the whole series, and that's why I like him, not just because he is strong. Also Minato's character is not so much OP, but he is really smart and has an appealing technique 'teleportation'. Also he is the main character's father who had a significant role in this story. But I can see what you mean, a lot of people just favor the obviously strong/cool/best characters in the anime and not so much the depth of the character itself. Personally, my favorite character is Shikamaru who shows that you don't need flashy techniques or a blood limit to get an ass whooping. His stategic talent and intellect amazes me alone.

That's what i'm talking about! I loved sai since his first chapter but so many characters have awesome panels like this! Konan had one and Tobi too (in the same fight)

well first off let me start by sayin that hashi is been given to much credit when naruto first came out, and im talking before we even seen the 1st in action, i been a fan, IT JUST MADE SENSE. not everyone thing like you they dont want a raise of a character watching him grow and etc. most people want to see people get DEstroyed, they wont talk about how good the fight was as a whole but how easy there fav. character finished him off with this graphic move. BUT

i wanted my charatcer to be good but also have somthin diff from every other C. so i pick hashi jus cause of wood style, after orochi. used him to fight third tech. HE LOST, idk why people didnt start sayin the third was better than him at that time? but i still was a fan.

it was luck that i choose a strong C. i knew he was strong, but i didnt kno they were going to take him that far, seeing he was long dead

after shippuden when people started using his DNA, i was pissed, THAT WAS THE ONLY THING THAT MADE MY C. SPEICAL TO ME.

Why would KISHI want me to like a fodder rather than a main character like OBITO, Madara, Naruto etc
