I honestly never understand some of these apologists of this series. Do you guys never get sick of seeing the same shit over and over again? Isn't there a limit your excitement? What does this new series add that the rest of it never added before?
Simply put too much milking is never good. At least give us a good year or two to get over how amazing it was. My issues with the series is simply this:
Too much milking.
Manga given to an the author who has never made a manga before.
Try hard edginess that makes zero sense.(Example, adding scars and tattoos to Boruto. Thinking he would look some kinda badass.)
Rinse and repeat shit.(Example, world found peace yet lost it once again)
Boring new gen. Enough said.
Shitty art. (Talk about a degrade man!)
Thats all for now. I will list more as the first chapter appears.
P.S. One Piece Art >>> This new manga art
@Bold: The original manga ended about 2 years ago in 2014. It is 2016 now, so they did in fact give us a good year or two.
Anyway, I don't see it as milking or see it as the same stuff over and over again. It is like I said before to one other person: Naruto and Sasuke didn't really achieve peace (not world peace). They helped bring about a peace-time so to speak thanks to their efforts in the war and with later Otsutsuki threats. However, that is mainly just saving the world and it really just strengthened the bonds between the 5 great villages.
It did nothing for the smaller and less powerful villages such as Amegakure or the grass village, or any lesser known villages that may have become battlefields during the war. Think about the economic problems that lesser nations may have come to face due to the actions of shinobi. Think about political turmoil that could result within nations due to disagreements on how to solve said economic problems (that type of thing actually starts wars in real life).
Also, according to the spoilers, Kawaki said "This is the end of the era of shinobi".
Now this statement reminds me of the fact that there are other beings with power in the NV aside from shinobi. We already know that the Narutoverse also contains aliens and samurai in addition to ninjas. Who knows what other entities the NV could contain? Mages? Cyborgs? Etc...
This series could open the possibility to other groups of beings like this who feel that shinobi have oppressed them in some way, or who have some other gripe with shinobi.
You say Naruto and Sasuke brought peace, but they did not really deal with or propose answers to any of the above possibilities that I just mentioned. That leaves plenty of room for the new generation to come in and go deeper into these issues. Maybe they can make progress in the areas Naruto and Sasuke never even touched.
In short, it doesn't have to be the same thing.
On another note: This may be against the general power-hating trend, but I for one greatly enjoy power. Therefore the stuff like the tattoos appeal to me.
