I honestly never understand some of these apologists of this series. Do you guys never get sick of seeing the same shit over and over again? Isn't there a limit your excitement? What does this new series add that the rest of it never added before?

Simply put too much milking is never good. At least give us a good year or two to get over how amazing it was. My issues with the series is simply this:

Too much milking.
Manga given to an the author who has never made a manga before.
Try hard edginess that makes zero sense.(Example, adding scars and tattoos to Boruto. Thinking he would look some kinda badass.)
Rinse and repeat shit.(Example, world found peace yet lost it once again)
Boring new gen. Enough said.
Shitty art. (Talk about a degrade man!)

Thats all for now. I will list more as the first chapter appears.

P.S. One Piece Art >>> This new manga art

@Bold: The original manga ended about 2 years ago in 2014. It is 2016 now, so they did in fact give us a good year or two.

Anyway, I don't see it as milking or see it as the same stuff over and over again. It is like I said before to one other person: Naruto and Sasuke didn't really achieve peace (not world peace). They helped bring about a peace-time so to speak thanks to their efforts in the war and with later Otsutsuki threats. However, that is mainly just saving the world and it really just strengthened the bonds between the 5 great villages.

It did nothing for the smaller and less powerful villages such as Amegakure or the grass village, or any lesser known villages that may have become battlefields during the war. Think about the economic problems that lesser nations may have come to face due to the actions of shinobi. Think about political turmoil that could result within nations due to disagreements on how to solve said economic problems (that type of thing actually starts wars in real life).

Also, according to the spoilers, Kawaki said "This is the end of the era of shinobi".

Now this statement reminds me of the fact that there are other beings with power in the NV aside from shinobi. We already know that the Narutoverse also contains aliens and samurai in addition to ninjas. Who knows what other entities the NV could contain? Mages? Cyborgs? Etc...

This series could open the possibility to other groups of beings like this who feel that shinobi have oppressed them in some way, or who have some other gripe with shinobi.

You say Naruto and Sasuke brought peace, but they did not really deal with or propose answers to any of the above possibilities that I just mentioned. That leaves plenty of room for the new generation to come in and go deeper into these issues. Maybe they can make progress in the areas Naruto and Sasuke never even touched.

In short, it doesn't have to be the same thing.

On another note: This may be against the general power-hating trend, but I for one greatly enjoy power. Therefore the stuff like the tattoos appeal to me.

It's because if Naruto or Sasuke was nerfed such BS Death like what happen to Neji who was nerfed due to the plot device pairing then of course everyone has the right to complain. Killing off character doesn't make the series darker. Naruto and Sasuke are the most OP characters, if they lose by the hand by some random new gen kids, everyone is gonna be pissed.

This is my problem exactly.

There is where your flaw lies. You assume without even hearing a method of death that Naruto's and Sasuke's deaths are BS or fodder. For all we know, those tattoos could be some power related to Kaguya's unknown husband who may have been stronger than Kaguya. Alternatively, they could stem from Hidan's beloved Jashin who is supposed to be a diety. You never know. Kawaki may simply become that strong. However, everyone likes to assume negative 24/7 on this base, so you don't even open your eyes to the chance that they were either just legitimately defeated or that they died in some epic heroic way.

People are looking at Naruto and Sasuke's power and believing there should be no evil. Just because Naruto/Sasuke are powerful doesn't mean there can't be danger in the world. The ninjas that buried Obito or killed Rin, could have all been neg by Minato, but Minato can't be everywhere. The same applies to Naruto and Sasuke. There can still be a sense of danger, with Naruto and Sasuke around.

That's not the problem.

The number one issue is the art. We know literally nothing about Boruto skill wise, and character wise. Or any of the new Gen, and you're telling me we're getting an older Boruto/new generation already?

Still I plan on giving the new series a chance, but based off the spoilers... Meh.

Bold: The problem with people is the fact that they don't seem to realize that the scene with older Boruto and Kawaki seems to be a flash forward. We're not really skipping to the future. We're just doing what various series, shows, and movies sometimes do when they start the movie at some future point and then rewind and then build up to that point.

I don't get why a bunch of people hate the dark turn that it seems that the series is taking. I remember during the 4th shinobi world war, people were complaining endlessly about how things needed to be darker. Everyone was constantly whining that there weren't enough deaths. Even after Shikaku, Inoichi and Neji died, people still just dismissed them as irrelevant fodder deaths and continued complaining that we needed more deaths. There was also widespread fear of rinne tensei and talk no jutsu. The light heartedness of it all was just utterly detested.

Yet here we are now, potentially about to get two of the biggest deaths in the history of the NV (Naruto's and Sasuke's), and now people are hating it and saying that the manga will be bad.

I don't understand these self-contradicting people.

I for one am very excited about this manga! There's no telling what kind of developments that Naruto's and Sasuke's deaths could bring! How will Konohamaru, Sarada or some other person do as hokage? Who knows?

And don't even get me started on those tatoos! If those tatoos and Boruto's dojutsu are some never before seen rikudou level powers, I am going to be soooooooo hyped!!

And the art is fantastic! (Nah just kidding). The art does leave a little to be desired, but it really isn't that bad to me. The only design that just made me go "What the heck!" is Sasuke's. I greatly prefer Kishi's design for Sasuke to this new wierd looking one. Everyone else's design is acceptable with me.

Anyway, that is just my take on things, but please do tell why everyone hates the ideas presented by these spoilers.
I am not and I glad it heads this way. Kishi ruined the War Arc. There were should be more deaths and more danger. I still remember the day when I read the chapter where One Rinnegan SM Madara destroyed/killed Naruto and Sasuke and was hyped but I released the he will nerf the guy and power them up to stand a chance... That was a dark feeling and I wanted more of those...

I'm also saw the contradiction but I understand why they dont believe Naruto or Sasuke die.

If Kakashi or Might Guy or Hinata or Sakura die, it is still acceptable to their thinking but here it was this two individuals.

I post this before to let people understand how it possible:-

Such a good post! I agree but Hagoromo also is not immortal, he was just a ghost spirit in the end. Kaguya is only immortal if we don't consider Madara without his Juubi/Shinjuu. I mean he and his brother died too.

I am mostly on the fence with this. I tend to withhold my judgment till I don't see the material myself. But it they keep upping the power scales, I will simply drop the manga.
