I know he isn't a man. The Shukaku is the spirit of a sand monk that was twisted. His spirit took on the form of the Racoon Dog, but the Shukaku originated from this monk.

see I know what you mean. he has a motive and that is fine. but that doesn't mean that what he is doing isn't "evil" or in a word traitorous. I belive that it was you a page back that said to look us the definition of traitor well here are acouple different definitions

Orochimaru=enermy of konoha and the fact that he killed him is irrelivant. he only did that because oro wanted his body

this is self answering but attacking naruto/friends to kill qualies here as well as leaving his country against orders
So I won't say that he is causeless or f'ed up or whatever the hell else that some people are saying here but a traitor to konoha, yes I will say that

Naruto has also believe he's the best of the best, but he's nicer, so that's not a real reason.
Trully, I think people hate him because they did not expect him to try to kill Naruto after Naruto had been searching for him for almost 3 years. Opions on Sasuke were divided up to them, but there wasn't a majority of Sasuke haters.
