OP is set in Japan?? Lol what.. There are references to all around the world and it's not set in Japan.
And it's a very standard sword shape. It could aswell be a european sword

meh most European swords that look like that are wider and not as clean of a triangle point. I know there are a lot of cultural references I just always got the impression manga creators made home universes based on their home lands, Obviously the shape looks nothing like Japan. If you know any European swords that look like this I'd love to see them(kind of a fan of swords)
