Ah, yes, I feel the same way about Naruto..Have you ever tried to sit though all the episodes of Bleach? My god :|
I suppose, but I'd much rather have a story that starts off slow and gets good than have one that is pretty well done until its timeskip and have it slowly go downhill until its final arc where it just snowballs into lazy writing.I think that Naruto had an extremely well constructed plot right from the start of the series where as bleach on the other hand was way too monotonous until the espada and the quincy arcs.I am actually a fan of bleach but I still think naruto is better. Not to mention the battles...nah bleach is boring U_U
When I used to have conversations with Crimson Trickster, she and I used to talk about the fact that Bleach, while nowehere near the best manga, at the very least did not take itself seriously. You get what you should expect: A manga about fighting, fighting, and more fighting. I mean, Ichigo resolves to protect his friends, but it's literally justification for more fighting.
Naruto, on the other hand, needs to be deep for some reason and have many layers behind it about friendship and dreams/acheiving goals and redemption and ponies and Myspace. Not to mention this whole shipping nonsense. Fans used to couple the most unlikely pairs in Bleach when Kubo gave absolutely NO hints or implications of them being together (i.e. Grimmjow and Ulquiorra both treat Orihime like sh*t, yet the fandom need to ship both of them because it's cute); while Kishimoto has this whole back and forth Naruto love triangle with Hinata and Sakura, like the tease that he is, in a will they or won't they scenario. Spoiler Alert: THEY WON'T Of course, I really don't know. And don't care. I'm not bashing shippers by any means, but Kishimoto really needs to just choose and get it over with.
Real point is: Of course there's not going to be an abundance of Bleach fans on the Naruto fanbase. But, you get what you choose.
