No, it's very different. Plus, I wasn't even talking about how obito survived(even though that was weird) but how his right eye survived when the rest of his body was crushed.....

His body wasn't totally crushed,atleast not his skull which is why Madara managed to save him.Regardless,everything I wanted to tell you is that what you have mentioned in your post isn't a good reason to say that his character isn't as good as others as almost every impotant character in the series got saved by plot at one point or another.
