This is the matter of an opinion, nothing more. Second of all, there is vast difference between written and development.rofl, you serious? You discount the most developed uchiha while you like the worst developed uchiha?
Hate obito all you want, but saying madara has any hint of development obito has is going too far.
That's not really why i think Obito is crappy character. Its the matter of fact, that after losing his mask, he never stops thinking about Rin, never stops blabbing about his peace, and just how lame and boring he has became. Depiste everything he has done, he still regretted his actions. He is so inconsistent.I agree. Obito's character is a giant plothole-aka how on earth did his right eye NOT get crushed, when the rest of body was by the boulder? Da faq?
See this is you thinking that Losing Things = Depth and yeah Kishi might seem to think this himself sometimes but it's not the case. You can pin a bunch of generic traumas in a fictional character's life (dead parents, rivalry, killed master, abandoned, war, jealousy, dead dog, dead best friend etc.) but that doesn't make a character interesting. It's HOW they react and deal with those hardships which creates depth. Simply pinning awful events to someone shouldn't make them interesting, they can still be the most cliched wooden villain (cough maddy)This is the matter of an opinion, nothing more. Second of all, there is vast difference between written and development.
So Madara born in war states days, watching his brother/parents die in front of him, and lost of trust of his clan resulting his change of personality and mindset into structuring a plan where he can achieve his vision of peace is not character development for you? Completely bias.
When you can show me Obito's backstory and how it had truly affected him completely, then we can have a talk. Madara > Obito in terms of development and depth. You cannot compare them. Madara endured and emotionally lost more than Obito can ever lose.
@Bold- exactly, you hate obito, so of course you say hes the worst developed even tho you know full well hes the best developed character in the show even rivaling Sasuke and naruto. This is the matter of an opinion, nothing more. Let me guess? Obito? ._.I don't dislike anything about the Uchiha, I just don't like one in particular.
Depth doesn't even mean interesting. It means quality. Losing more and emotionally effecting somebody results a change in the character's personality and mindset, hence you want to learn more about them, hence it makes them interesting. I think i should stop arguing with you, because you hate Madara to the max, so much it will make you bias when discussing his character. You don't even understand his character at all. Unlike you and the other Obito fans, i understand Obito's character, and he is shitty one. The development he has gotten was barely any decent.@Bold- exactly, you hate obito, so of course you say hes the worst developed even tho you know full well hes the best developed character in the show even rivaling Sasuke and naruto.
Madara has no development, Hes only there to prolong the manga since obito is the main villain of the show. Madara only has power, no real development, no emotion, no flaws, no back story (very brief) and no chemistry. Hes a mary sue with power, that's all he is.
Obito on the other hand has it all and made a 360 turn in his life. He went from Good --> to Evil --> to good again, that's real development. Hes the most relevant character aside from the main characters and he has flaws, he has emotions, he has motive, he actually wants peace and his character is relatable to people irl who lost their loved ones. Madara doesn't even want peace, he just wants power. It's been proven a fact since he parallels kaguya who was power hungry.
Ugh, actually thought you were trying to make a valid point there until I read this. Congrats, you don't understand the character remotely. I've had this debate too many times with ignorant people tbh, have fun with your stereotypical arrogant mwahaha power-loving cliche villain. What did Obito lose again? A girl who didn't even like him. LMFAO. No interest and depth whatsoever.
ah? that's a surprise.No, Sasuke. I actually like Obito.

Its not an actual and emotional development like P1 Gaara. Not even close. Obito's backstory doesn't reflect on his change.
We have different opinion, so lets not fight over them.
A surprise that I like Obito or dislike Sasuke?ah? that's a surprise.
both tbh. You looked like you liked sasuke and we all know most (not all) sasuke fans hate obito. But anyways, that's pretty cool that you like obito and dislike sasuke, i too am the same.A surprise that I like Obito or dislike Sasuke?
