Why Teno? Answer quite the simple, I like to make customs and teach people, oh and I still have things to do here. I like majority of the community here as well.

^ Lel this guy. You also rp here to. :)
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well alot of you guys still have that spunk. Idk. Me personally, I quit because change keeps things spiced up. restrictions are so heavy nowadays i cant move without breaking TF. The ONLY part i like (SOMEWHAT) is customs , but then again, customs nowadays take about.. hmmm.... 2-3months not including CEJ and CCJ (Which is random AF, probally 4+ months. And CFS take about 2-3 months and somehow they close both customs around the same time which is weird. If you put one rp mod checker on each page, most CJS can be checked within maybe a weeks time... Idk.. Maybe thats why I feel it went down hill

The community keeps me around. Training sucks, doing stuff I already know. The mods don't really budge much, but when they do and forward it to Caliburn he declines it harder than Ryujin's checks. But the community and the mods RP well together and we can all talk to each other. It is a real nice feeling to have where most the people on this site actually care about you in one way or another.

But it would be so much better if some of the people's ideas were implemented.

Me and my erection firmly agree with this statement. You have my stiff one hundred percent of suppport right behind you Martin! And I mean right behind you. :coffee:
Sometimes, it's good just to not comment the first thing on your mind.

I think it's become a kind of an addiction now. Can't stay without checking NB atleast once a day. Maybe, it's the people, the community, etc. I get hyped when people reply to battles, or there's a new battle test in the BT section, or a certain reply to a battle test. I started the RP because I found the old Konoha banner cool(best decision on NB), and also because, it improves my creative writing. As for Battle Tests, it's fun to go for powerful bios and try to use the bio abilities in tough situations, etc. And, customs. I don't really like customs, I'm a canon lover, but still, I love to make customs for the fun of it. In the start, it was all about getting "Op'ed" and defeating the strongest RP'er, but now it's because I have some nice friends here, and it's worth RP'ing here and relaxing your mind off. Although, the RP has got boring because of inactivity, one of the things that keep me here are my senpai duties and battling. Changes are slowly coming, like the Kumi system, the NW prison, NW hospital, etc.

Honestly, it's a pissing contest nowadays, but I try to avoid that as much as I can. I love creative writing, and add battling to it; it's hella fun and addictive. It's also got to do with Naruto being one of my favorite mangas with a wide array of flashy jutsus and stuff.
Finally, I think the prime aim of this RP is to battle, which is what I love the most. Although, that has been given too much importance and people don't "RP" per se, in battles.

"Kakashi sees his opponent and throws a kunai" - this is the kind of RP I despise, and honestly wish, there was more story oriented RP.

I like the people here mainly. I also try and make it more exciting when it does become boring, making a spar, try something new, do some story based RPing instead of kill kill kill in the NW.

I dunno though, I've just come to love this site <_>

The RP is big chess board. It has many players, ever-changing players at that. No one is simply a pawn, some pieces move diagonally others in cross patterns, then there are those that freaking fly or move at insanely unpredictable patterns. Those are my reasons for continuing. Simply put, it's the challenge.
Also, I'm joking about the pawns (; #SS

I enjoy the RP, it has its ups and downs, but it's still an enjoyable experience. I also met a lot of people that are pretty cool. It's a nice place to escape to when RL gets a bit crappy tbh.

I love RPing here. I've tried it on other sites and through different mediums, and never found much enjoyment out of it. But here it is different. There is more structure to the system and the processes to get stronger are great in that they build on to each other, rather than having OP characters and moves when first starting. The more you RP, the stronger you become; the stronger you become, the more fun you will have. The only complaint that I would even start to have is the amount of time it takes to get certain things accomplished, like CJ's, CC's, CE's, and other customs; but honestly, that in itself is enough of an incentive to keep it up, just to see what kind of things people can come up with to beat me down lol. There is always a new challenge, new obsticle, or something to do. Just my opinion though.

Becoming more stronger doesn't always equate to fun. ~_~
I RP'ed with Adachi in my Water training, and even though, it was only for some posts, I had fun. You can have fun in a battle with a guy like Souji, who makes it interesting using only canon jutsus, and sticks to character.

I think people stick around here not only because of the RP but also because they have made friends and funny as it might be, they still stick around to have a chat and communicate with their friends despite not knowing them in person. People also enjoy their little spars with friends etc.

For me, I stick around here because I haven't accomplished all of my "NB goals" as of yet. Once that happens, the flair might fade for the RP but I'll still stick around to chat with those that wish to chat with me xD.

Another reason why people also stick around or otherwise return after a while is because NB in itself is like a little fantasy neighborhood. Things won't feel the same once you are used to the home you are living in and have made good friends then you suddenly have to move to a place where no one knows or understands you. If you get what I mean >_>

I completely agree. Personally, the getting stronger part is fun for me, and probably others as well (allow me to reference the hightened feelings and emotions when there is a lottery), but most of the fun is to be had in the process. Right now, Dectective L is teaching me water, and even though we are only on C-Ranks, I'm having a blast because of the RP nature of the training. He does a great job of staying in character, and makes me feel like I am really learning from Dean Winchester. There are a lot of great RP'ers on this site that can, have, and do give me a reason (again, personally) to keep coming back.

We all enjoy lotteries, and get salty too. :coffee:
I think the problem in this RP, as someone said, lies in the recycling of things and the inactivity. Also, the lack of availability of teachers, which made me almost quit. If the activity picks up, the site will be bombared with n number of things at once, which are left pending. Again, Adachi's example; when he returned from inactivity, he saw tests not being graded for months, and immediately made threads for battle checking, and also made a thread for shishou apps, which was slow as hell with Vincent. -_- I think that's what makes me like this site.
One thing about this RP is that, it gets stagnant for a while, then suddenly something new pops up, and peaks my interest for a while, and again it becomes stagnant. @_@
Some people take the RP too seriously though, and it loses the element of fun it had before.

Although this RP is dying why dont we try to revive it rather than neglecting it and making girlie excuses of leaving it.
Juz saying z.z
Yeah, not like 100+ members tried this.. :|

Hmmm. Well I see
Long as people like you guys dont lose its spunk, the RP has a chance

Also, honestly one of the main reasons i come on is to check not only MY customs but others who were approved. I enjoy seeing approved shit believe it or not, and like you said. Battle Test. I love reading... the end result.. If somebody passed/failed

I have to agree with you. People stay on for friends. Me personally, I dont even conversate with my friends on here sadly. But the last part, I cant agree with it more. NB has indeed help me through 2 of the most difficult times in my life. I could come here and escape reality. I was kazekage during the reign of one of my RL hardships, and It made me feel real good knowing I had a village to look up to me. So dont get me wrong, I know what NB can do for somebody personally via RL.

i can still recall the 2012 and 2013...... incredible..... miss it... but the world of NB is decaying and dying... nothing anyone can do... one day it will be gone and we have to move on..
Sad, But I feel the same way.

I wont reply from the point of view of a mod, but as me as a RPer lol. I actually still have fun when I RP on the site. Sure, there are times where I want to just say **** it and leave. Sometimes the members are annoying, sometimes mod work gets overwhelming, sometimes RL prevents me from being as active as I want. But I still find fun in the RP. I like creating fighting styles, creating customs. I like proctoring tests, teaching certain fields. I like battling a lot, it's always fun. Most of all, I like roleplaying, acting as a character and doing what I think they would do in that situation. As someone who likes reading and writing, it's fun to act out a role at times. I love the Ninja World just as much as I dislike it; it's an open sandbox where you can RP almost however you want, but it's always so confined to just randomly waged wars. You can RP as a king of a minor village if you wanted to, even as a prisoner or a historian. To me, the RP is always fun. Sure, I might sound biased as a moderator of the RP saying that, but I still find it to be fun.

Proctoring tests are always fun for me, because I usually limit myself even more to act just like the characters I have, sticking to just their elements and sometimes jutsus and mannerisms and methods of attacking (i.e. sometimes I start tests with Naruto by making a clone and rushing forward with a Rasengan). I like to see if people can stay in character as well and match or raise my pace in tests. It doesnt always happen, but when it does, I tend to reply quicker and have a lot more fun. Training in fields besides the base 5 fields like Sharingan, Sound Release, and Fuuinjutsu and Taijutsu fields are always fun for me to teach because most times, it's largely theoretical work and at times, my knowledge of those fields grow as well. Most of my students have fun and learn a lot as well (at least I hope so), which is rewarding on it's own. Making customs is a big fun of mine. Sure, a lot of my potential ideas are shot down before submissions and some more are declined upon being submitted, but I still love trying it. Training, my own trainings as rare as they are, are fun as well, something I've liked since I first joined back in 2009.

But the greatest fun is the Ninja World and the people I RP with. I always have had fun RPing with some members, such as the old Akatsuki members when I was originally a member the first time (Lili, ZK, Gobi, Nagato.., NK, etc), especially when we used to create mini arcs and events of our own to RP. Even my fight against Lili was fun, even if tedious at points, and we collaborated on a future RP arc as well, continuing our RP to make it more fun and dynamic in the future, something that people dont always do. The NW is an open canvas, and I like using my paintbrush to have fun and arent afraid to let others paint on my canvas with it, as long as the picture in the end comes out great. If it doesnt, it doesnt matter because there are always more canvasses.

And I cant forget the people I consider friends on here. Daemon, Lili, Akiza, ZK, Scorps, Gobi, Nagato.., Mathias, Jinbei, etc. I met a great bunch of people through the RP over the years and while some are no longer here, it still doesnt prevent me from logging on to continue RPing with new people or talking to my current friends on here or Skype. All in all, I still find the RP highly interesting and fun, even when there are times that it isnt so fun.

I've been rping for over a decade on different types of forums and Naruto being something I was interested in, attracted me to the rp here. Although I think the actual rp on here is somewhat lackluster (as far as like character story telling goes), it gives me something to do and I've made a few friends on here and that's pretty much what keeps me going.

ya dig?
