Why do we want someone to die in NARUTO?

Throughout this entire war all I've heard was people saying no one of importance(besides Neji) died. Or such and such need to die.

Why does everyone keep expecting someone to die in this series? What exactly would that provoke outside shock value?

People just want it to feel like a war and feel like they're in real danger. Personally, I don't care if anyone dies or not.

Probably because they believe nothing else has been interesting. By seeing death in this manga it will fulfill their sadistic pleasures and enable them to continue on with their lives.

one of the rookie 9 should have atleast died, it makes that Zetsu Army seems like nothing.

Wouldn't that beat purpose of Naruto joining the war? He joined the war to protect his friends, if they die... then ****. He might as well follow Madara into the dream world.

Because it's a war, people die. It makes it more impactful when characters die fighting for what they believe in. It also makes the war seem more real and meaningful.

Not really; you can't protect everyone. So making it seem like Naruto can is cliche and stupid.

it makes things more serious. although things are a bit more serious ever since Obito left kamui fighting kakashi. xD
then things got dull when he was juubito and he didn't kill anyone. then madara was rinne tensei'd and things got serious again.

the characters who could die : anko , kabuto, yamato, bee, obito : aren't really dead yet lol

zetsu could've been a lot more scary and deadly. Also if you love a character then you're interested in his/her story and death of an important or popular character could make you feel sort of emotional ? :]

The manga needs a twist. A good cry followed by an epic beating in this series has done that.

take a look at marineford and then go take a look at here , at this war and you'll see what they mean.

It's a war. It makes it feel a bit more suspenseful since you would actually wonder and maybe even worry of who was going to die next. Instead we kind of already know that no one is going to die and it sort of makes the story predictable.

Do you see how much suspense Sauce and Narco created? And we know they're not actually going to die.

Well, those are my thoughts on it anyway.

Its because thats war when someone has to die, and i dont consider nenji as one them it should be the hokages or sakura or gai or lee.
