Complain alot about Backseat gaming ?

For those who don't know what Backseat gaming is, i'll leave the urban dictionary link :

So, i was subscribed to this guy on twitch it costs like 5$ a month per subscription and it supports the streamer directly, and at that time, he was playing MGS1. I noticed that everytime he pulled out his pistol, his character movement stopped and the "BOSS" he was fighting required constant movement in order for him succeed. I just said to him that if he pressed X and Square at the same time, the character would shoot while sprinting (which surprisingly most people don't know about this trick), and then he straight up bans me from his twitch channel for backseat gaming...

Like, i paid him 5$ a month for 3 months for him to play video games. Isn't a twitch channel supposed to be focused on the viewers and not on the streamer himself ?!

Because It's annoying. Unless he asks for help, don't tell him how to do it. We don't any cheat cheat cheese.
Yeah but the difference is that i offered him a tip on the controls. He probably skipped the tutorial of the game... i just don't see it being considered backseat gaming.

....I'm more concerned with why people are actually paying others to watch them play a videogames.... Like what's the benefit of paying someone money to watch them play a game? Isn't that a waste?

Do you like get stuff monthly like tips or merchandise or something :wut:

Seems like a waste to me.

But yeah many gamers can be douchebags. And even if it was annoying, you paid the little f**ker so you shouldn't be banned even if you truly had been backseat gaming ( which a helpful tip like you gave isn't backseat gaming) You paid so it should be your right.

It's like youtubers, if you think the streamer is entertaining you can tip the guy for making his content. Also, you get to use the emotes the channel gives you, it removes ads and it directly supports the content creator. The way i see it, it's something similar like tipping a waitress.

It's your fault for supporting the concept of Twitch and the people who support it.

No, the channels are not about the viewers, wtf. Neither Twitch, nor YouTube. They do what they want, simple as that. Watch it if you like it or just go to another channel, it's basically like TV. You don't say them what to do and how to do it, but you can choose freely what you want to watch.

I myself find backseat-gaming super annoying too. If I were a streamer or made gaming-videos for YouTube, I'd ban people for the same reason too. Those content-creators are not depending on you, your money is a simply donation of free will, it doesn't mean that they have to listen to you. Is it so hard to let others play the way they want and do, without saying "no, you have to do it like this or that!" ?

I mean you responded to one thing, so that's not really backseat gaming enough for me. He probably salty he didn't know that :lol

Edit:

And no not really, each channel/person has their reasons for why they're doing their channel.

Actually the viewer is the most important aspect of the stream without the viewers you're just a gamer playing video games the revenue mainly comes from the viewers through subscriptions. So the viewers are the most important part of any stream.
Think of it as working at a store, the customer is the most important part because that's where the revenue comes from.

To OP: it's that streamer's loss and I advise you don't bother with him considering he clearly don't care for your membership.

Sure, without demand there is no product. I guess I phrased it the wrong way.
I just meant that the streamer is not like a slave for those who subscribe to him/her, the streamer decides what to do, not the viewers. The viewers only choose what they want to see, subscribe or donate.

And even when a viewer supported the streamer with money, they still do not have a "right" on anything.
