Hypocrisy of Tsunade Fans
Basically, some Tsunade fans tend to put her above the likes of Hiruzen and Tobirama since neither two have shown enough feats with which they beat Tsunade. In other words, they hate using hype to put one above Tsunade if the aforementioned character doesn't have anything that can kill Tsunade.
On the other hand, in threads where Tsunade is pitted against someone of a lower level/rank, for example, Neji or Temari, those same Tsunade fans say that Tsunade stomps because she is a Hokage/Sannin. In other words, they tend to use hype to prove that Tsunade will win since she is obviously operating on a higher level than them.
Hypocrisy of Hiruzen Fans
Before Hashirama's flash back, those Hiruzen fans thought that Hiruzen was stronger based on feats because they assumed that since Hashirama had mediocre feats compared to Hiruzen in part 1, he'd still be weaker compared to Hiruzen in part 2 due to power scaling also increasing Hiruzen's power. They completely disregarded Hashirama's hype of being far above the Gokage as a collective unit yet accepted old Hiruzen's superiority to the five kages during his reign.
In conclusion: I'm not here trying to say that hype>feats or vice versa. What I'm trying to say is that you should be consistent in what you use to pass judgements and that you should be impartial in passing judgements for each character.
