read about aerodynamic part about the structure of wings of birds and the air which flows surrounding the wings and helps in lifting up their bodies. Similarly, what Zerabitu said is correct as well as the arms at the back are at particular inclination thus making easier to lift their bodies up making them easy to jump from one trees to other along with full speed of their capacity.

Anyone who tried running like that would know that its not faster, it just slows you down because you become unbalanced, I guess they must run like that for a different reason.
