Why do some people think that Sakura stands a chance against Tsunade?

Strength wise sakura's feat is the highest of all manga. . Tsunade is the greatest combatant since Jiraiya's time.. stated by Jiraiya himself. Only one that could surpass her is Sakura.

You fail since I did not mention hashi DNA..i said normal. She doesn't get Wood Style but she still has enormous chakra reserves and strong life force thanks to Uzumaki DNA. Sakura without chakra = garbage. Tsunade would still have natural super strength. Also Sakura's strength was compared to young tsunade seeing as hashirama was dead throughout tsunade's older days.

I'll start off this comment by saying that I've never been a Sakura fan, but I don't hate her.

It has been foreshadowed for years now that Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura will surpass their sensei's. Naruto surpassed J-man, Sasuke surpassed Oro, and Sakura looks like she's surpassed Tsunade. Honestly, if you don't see Sakura's new potential you just hate her character and don't want to admit that she's progressed.

Oh, and I'm not one of those people who believe Sakura is on par with Naruto and Sasuke.. they're leagues ahead of her. Just like how it was with the 3 legendary Sannin.

Um, whatever makes you happy? There's no way that Sakura would outlast Tsunade with Tsunade's gargantuan chakra reserves, and even if they had the same amount of chakra, Tsunade carrying Uzumaki DNA (which provides extreme regenerative capabilities and stamina in general) would take her through this. Then, she carries the body of the Sage through her blood... need I go on?

lolololol is that why she needed 3 years to create the yin seal? Not to mention she received a kurama cloak also U_U Well you know because tsunade developed as she grew? Not to mention hashirama said it might be stronger/worse than tsunade which isn't a 100% confirmation.

While I agree with your premise but Sakura doesn't need Senju or Uzumaki DNA to surpass Tsunade. Take Kakashi for example, he is much stronger than 99% Uchiha but he doesn't have Uchiha DNA. Also its been implied that Sakura will eventually surpass Tsunade and I doubt she is going to stuff her body with Senju or/and Uzumaki DNA. Sakura doesn't need Tsunade's natural raw strength because overall, Sakura's full power strength with her seal surpasses that of Tsunade's.

As for who will win in a fight, Tsunade stomps because eventually one of them is bound to summon Katsuyu which is most likely going to be loyal towards Tsunade since she's had a contract with her for much longer..

Katsuyu has what it takes to solo both Sakura and Tsunade so whoever Katsuyu decides to help will win in a fight. Also, Tsunade's shown to have a much higher taijutsu score in the data book than did Sakura so she'll likely be able to finish Sakura off with a direct hit than can Tsunade. Tsunade is also faster although the gap in their speed is abysmal. Both can trip each other by punching the ground but since they do that themselves, that tactic isn't going to throw anyone off balance.

It's not the same seal. It might have the same base technique but there will be another state to it. Her seal is the name of tsunade's 2nd stage of her yin seal. Translated differently as well.

Also nothign sakura has is an asspull, years upon years of forehead jokes foreshadowed this Sakura fans knew but eh you don't pay attention to what is not cared about right? And a summon is just a summon she didn't need a power up to do that. Sasuke also had an off panel summon acquiring.
